From +600 ppm contaminated water to Zero ppm for washing cars

So you are saying that your water read out at 600+ before you connected a HINTIM 3 stage filter which you bought on Amazon and after you connected the filter it dropped to 6. I bought THE EXACT SAME FILTER on Amazon for THE EXACT SAME PRICE. My water reading was 177 BEFORE and 169 AFTER. Would you tell me what the H went wrong please.

Im in the process of learning all the major components of filtering, but so far the only way I’m seeing that low of a filtered PPM before hitting the DI resin is with reverse osmosis. Sediment and carbon filters alone don’t do anything to change my PPM.

The HINTIM filter captures the large particles before the water enters the big blue filter which has the DI resin. The DI resin knocks the ppm down to zero. I have the HINTIM filter in place to help increase the lifespan of the DI resin.

If the compact filter works, why do you need the big blue one? Wont washing your car with just the small filter be sufficient? I feel like I am missing something.....

The big blue filter has the DI resin, allowing the car to dry without leaving spots. No need to dry off the car. You can leave it in the sun. The small filter captures any large particles and saves the lifespan of the DI resin because it won't have to work as hard.

The pre filter is so that the big blue one doesn’t use all the resin to filter that high ppm water, the less ppm of water that goes through the filter the more it lasts

Your pre filter shouldn’t change anything for ppm for di. If your reading is high your resin is exhausted or the filter or tube inside is letting blow by past.

correct. the small filter is helping increase the lifespan of the DI resin in the big blue filter. I've had this system for awhile now, and before I was replace the resin every 3 months. Now, every 5-6 months.

Don't. Find a 4.5" x 10" Big Blue and buy a quality virgin resin. It will still not last very long, but better than this. What's your PPM?

I changed the filter just recently...it totally depends on the quality of water. But I think I waited too long to change it. My water is surprisingly clean so I didn't have a lot of particles but I did notice that the filter was losing its structure and firmness. So I replaced it.

Correct. I forgot what my ppm was once the water went through just the small filter but it wasn't anything to write home about. The small filter has one job. Increasing the lifespan of the DI resin in the big blue filter.

Because if the ppm is too high after the filter, the DI resin is going to go bad quickly

@@vsvpvlexis The only kind of filter that will change the PPM outside of a DI filter is an RO membrane. Sediment and carbon filters does not change PPM, they make the resin live longer.

You failed the test-the first filter does nothing, the 2nd filter does all the work
