We want to begin by saying that you guys epitomize what it means to follow your dreams. Your determination , your perseverance and most of all your passions shine always. It's true we have our highs and lows, but as we move on in life we learn and grow from it as human beings. These are the main reasons why we follow you guys. Yes, the scenery is nice but you guys take it to another level. Your wonderful work comes from the heart and your passions. Harriet and I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for all your efforts. Greatly Appreciated. Sending you all much love ❤❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Hi. Rhette & Claire. So heart-warming to hear from you & your updates. Both of you have given me so much inspiration and hope over the years. I am dying to quit full time and being a digital nomad. (cos need to support family with maid & advanced dementia mum) But reality is harsh and I constantly see myself spinning wheels without success so far. Invested so much on online courses and even now, still investing! So so envy of your success. Wish I can get a taste of such sweet success right now...sigh...anyway, wish you higher success in the near future, better happiness and very good health. Looking forward to your new travelling adventures in 2025! Cheers!

Hi Brian. Thank you for always supporting us. You are amazing! We know it can be very tough to live this life if there are a lot of responsibilities at home. We are very lucky we had not “strings” as such. We just had to sell our cars and furniture and give it a shot! Well done for continuing to invest in yourself. I am sure with persistent and consistency, success will come. Stay strong ❤️🙏🏼

Wow guys, that was flippin awesome, absolutely loved your story, it is soooo damn refreshing when KZbinrs (full-timers) actually share the highs and most importantly the lows of following this dream. You have been through some stuff, YOH! I also particularly loved that incredibly technical graphic showing your journey..haha..loved it! Your story was just what I needed to see and hear today, as I sit and prepare for my own journey to start in 2025, BTW Im a lot older than you guys. Two key things I took from this is (1) Have multiple streams of income, even if they only bring in small amounts, every drop counts, and (2) I guess this one is subjective, but it appears to me that your journey, as tough as it was, succeeded because you had each other, so if its possible I guess the idea of travelling with someone who shares your craziness and passion, and with whom you get along with extremely well is vital. Thank you so much for sharing, it was so lekker to watch. I wish you well on your future journeys and I look forward to seeing more interesting videos, as I am now a subscriber whoop whoop!!

Your storytelling skills are on point. That was lengthy and you had my attention from beginning to end - respect. Though I love online teaching and have been doing it for 5 years (Vietnamese kids student base) I have now hit a ceiling and feel a little burnt out. I adore my job and have the utmost respect (and empathy) for Asian kids because of the work ethic expected of them. However, I would like to dabble in other income streams while continuing the teaching because I'm aware that the world is changing and there are opportunities out there. It's just difficult to navigate it. Thanks for your time. Dee.

Hi Dee! Wow, thank you for saying that❤️. It's totally normal to feel the way you do now about teaching. Life is about phases, teaching online might be a phase that needs to end for you. Time to find a new hobby/passion! There are so many out there that you can monetise 😁. Have a look on Skillshare

Wow, I love your videos and you inspire me. I have a question. How do I convince my partner that we doesn't have to save up alot of money to take a simple roadtrip to Pretoria. Him and I want to travel, but I think he has a scarcity mindset and I undermine how much things cost😅 sometimes. How can we start the travel culture?
@RhettandClaireАй бұрын
Hey Angelina. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind comment 🙏🏼 This is really a tough one. I think you both have to want it. Travel is not for everyone though unfortunately. We look at travel as an investment in our own personal development. Like we said in the video. These experiences we’ve been able to have abroad have always resulted in growth and a mindset shift. Maybe he just needs a small push in the right direction to see the light 😃

Hi Rhett. Do you fund your own travels or do you do it via n travel credit card? The states has amazing travel credit card benefits, and I am currently looking into getting one as an South African resident. If you have one, can you maybe give me some info how to apply for the ITIN number?
@RhettandClaireАй бұрын
@@StefanSwift-pq2rw hi Stefan. We don’t have an American credit card. We’re not sure it’s possible to get one actually. We pay for all our travels on our FNB credit card or business card direct. Pity we can’t earn points on all of our travel and get free hotel stays like the US guys do. If we did maybe we’d have our own house by now 😂

@RhettandClaireАй бұрын
Of course! And we're not saying everyone should become social media influencers at all. In fact, most people won't make it. Find your passions and monetise them. If that requires you to work a 9-5, great! As long as you find fulfilment from what you're doing, that's all that matters🙌🏻
@Tashas_TravelsАй бұрын
The million dollar question about traveling full time or even part time is, how much does 1 person need to start, coz all this is pointless if you don't have the koney to do it. Is it R100,000, R50,000 ? What is it? Coz people never touch on the money side of things, which is what a person needs to do anything in this world.
@zencityvibesАй бұрын
Exactly
@RhettandClaireАй бұрын
Yoh, that question is so complicated to answer. It depends on what countries you're traveling to, and what lifestyle you want to lead. You need a monthly salary that'll cover whatever the cost of living is in a country. Most of us start in SE Asia because it's far cheaper than anywhere else in the world. You need money saved up for flights, visas and visa runs. But you need a monthly salary big enough to cover your living expenses, which could be anywhere between $1000-$2000 a month for a person depending on how lavish they want to live
