From Abandoned To Daily Driver- UNDER 2K Budget C10 Build (Start to Finish)

I stumbled across this 1974 Chevrolet C10 Squarebody pickup while minding my own business on the internet. Claims to have a corvette motor, rebuilt transmission, and hydraulic dump bed but hasn't been on the road in over 10 years. Will it run and drive? We need this truck to go to work as a daily driver asap. so lets see if we can revive this abandoned small block powered chevy c10 pickup truck and and get it to work here on our abandoned property.
also in the mix we might have snagged a bunch of spare parts, a car trailer with a winch, and a little homemade farm trailer to boot

Oh thank you we are OK here the hurricane passed right over us (well tropical storm at that point ). But somehow areas both south of us and north of us got it way worse than we did.

Sweet truck love the egg crate grille years 73-74 Chevy and GMC inset grille and lip, and I have played with and built some stout little 305 sbc trucks And gbody 80's Buick Regals

I built 3 versions of the 305 h.o.sbc motors also,77,83,85 601,416, and 416 head casting summit racing k1103 it sounded nasty lol, and a 90k miles 84 Chevy c 20 truck 305 other than headers and a gm 84 Chevy Monte Carlo SS factory aluminum intake manifold it was bone stock ran great, and a 76 Chevy 305 sbc some cheap headers, supposed to be a lunati can had some serious lope it carried 125psi in almost every cylinder it was in a 84 Buick Regal limited dark metallic blue junkyard car don't know much about it at all but a fairly decent parts vehicle for a drivetrain swap, anyway I've owned several gm square body trucks over the years cool and your doing a pretty good job keep it up

Change the fuel line from the pump to the carb to steel .

I use to buy 75-79 Chevy 4dr novas for parts usually the drivetrain and alot of them were 305sbcth350 vehicles... and I used to buy sbc running rebuildable cores from the junkyard for $75-$125 most were 305's ill take all the 305's i can get when everyone is spending more money to buy their ls and 350sbc motors to start building them ill be driving my 305 powered sbc vehicles lol, and they usually say the same thing about the Oldsmobile 307 motors lol

It’s kind of a recap editing 40 hours, a video into one for the entire project. I did it with the van and the 54 Chevy. It’s kind of a fun thing for me to get the whole project into a single episode.

That is actually nice to hear, but I do like to put together one video on a whole project once its "done"... I did it on the van and the 54, I ll keep doing it for myself any anyone interested... but there will be new stuff next week
