they seriously need to make an all star season every few years, not like every month. it gets old and loses its shock factor. we also dont get to see growth from queens as they join straight off their original season

the thing with All Stars seasons becoming a yearly fixture of the show is that it undoubtedly waters down its title value, it's just a "another chances" like Survivor has become bringing back competitors more than 3 times across the seasons. All Stars 1 and All Stars 2 had JUGGERNAUT casts and felt right being 4 years apart from one another like _an actual Olympic Games of drag_ and it truly should have sticked to that play-out.

the thing with all stars 5 and the spoiled cast of all stars 6 is that it doesn't feel "All stars" i love all stars 4 and 2 bc even the early outs were iconic, all stars 5 and 6 have FILLER QUEENS on an all stars, i would love if all stars happened each 2-3 years, that way sesaons can go along mora calmly

although you never really adressed it i did think bebe had a complete story, the jury twist ruining shangelas story is well known, but i think the jury twist saved bebes story from ending bad. it gave them a reason to cut her without discrediting her original win and letting her walk out still at winner status.

I think pretty much every season save 4 we could pinpoint the production intended winner before the season even began - Chad, Alaska, Trixie and Shea. Chad and Alaska (Alaska's penultimate episode blip aside) dominated their seasons so the outcome felt justified. The reason 3 is so contentious is because Dela and Shangela ended up outperforming Trixie, especially in the early season, so even though she had a comeback once Dela was gone, the final jury twist taking Shangela out of the picture made Trixie's win (though a foregone conclusion based on her fan popularity outside of the show) feel less earned. Trixie was also the first All Stars winner not to have made it to her season's finale, which would have been true for Dela and Shangela as well but feels more noticeable due to Trixie's track record. Of course, the same is true for Monet but despite All Stars 4 also being a bit of a meh season overall it did feel much more even, with no one queen dominating over the rest (arguably Manilla but not to the extent as Ben or even Alaska). In fact, 4 might be the most evenly matched season of All Stars thus far. 5 is an interesting case too, because even though many of us joked that when Shea walked in everyone else might as well have gone home, and Shea losing the crown a second time would have felt immensely unfair and even cruel, Jujubee and Cracker did so well for themselves that the finale felt like a much closer race than we might have expected, with many people even wishing the double win would have been kept for Shea and Jujubee (even if just to spare poor Jujubee a third third-placement spot).

Honestly, if I were making these decisions, I thin a bigger gap would have been served between All Stars 2 and 3, with 3 being Shea's season to win and Trixie, maybe Monet, Cracker, Shangela, cast and likely giving a strong showing. Then only start bringing back former All Stars for another shot from All Stars 4, another 2-3 years later, maybe with some international showings from UK and Canada thrown in as well.

My last point though is that I do think that the show has finally run out of "obvious winners" (e.g. queens to made it to their season's finale or close to it, were either a clear second place or pinned as front runners before an unexpected elimination, and are fan favourites) to cast, with the only exceptions being Asia O'Hara, whoever doesn't end up winning Season 13 out of Rose, Symone and Gotmik, or Davina de Campo or Bimini Bon Boulash from UK. I could see Jimbo having a good run, maybe Rita Baga, Akeria C Davenport, Nina West, even Eureka again, but none of them picked out by production to win. Brooke Lynn Heights, maybe, but she's now hosting Canada's Drag Race and therefore I think doesn't need an All Stars run, she might as well be an honorary Hall of Fame member for that reason.

Look at it this way. The first 2 seasons of AS saw all the queens having fair shot at the crown (except for maybe Mimi who ultimately was a last minute cast). However, starting AS3. There was a clear division between cast members, we could from the get go guess who the front runners were going to be and who the top 4/3 was gonna end up being. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you need to put “filler queens” in an “all stars” season, something isn’t going right with that title. 👏🏻
