Every time I hear it I hear more! Flesh and blood can not reveal this. (Allow me to go long please). What separates pastor from the rest is that he always viewed scripture as treasure. He believes that knowing scripture informs daily activity. Because the Bible is not just a bunch of religious words. We can learn a lot about God by watching what He does with those who take Him seriously. Pastor said something once (in proper context) that opened a floodgate of realities to my spiritual mind. “Jesus was born in enemy territory!” Boom! Since we are in Him then the same goes for me! Therefore, we must be mindful of how Jesus navigated “enemy territory” and do likewise. I’m not speaking as a fanboy of A.R. Bernard (even though it’s hard not!) But I’ve observed over the years the rise of biblical Christianity in America. Particularly but not exclusively black America. A wave of God hit hard around the mid 80s till just a couple of years ago. Last Sunday we had an 80s/90s type of alter call. Post Covid, post church attendance decline, post pastoral burnout. The alter was full of believers. And not motivated by hype. It indicates to me that God? Still working! And that pastor still has oil in his lamp. That’s important to my faith. I met my wife in church. She was the church darling. But I left my church and took her with me. Caught some heat for that! But I needed sound doctrine. I was compelled to leave and take my wife with me. In the beginning I questioned such a grand move. We had 20 years in. Pastor’s anointing type fit my understanding of scripture because I never saw scripture as magic. Saw a lot of people deceived by emotional whooping and hollering. The Bible is such a complexed book. I realized early that it was about excavation not sensationalization. The parting of the Red Sea, walking on water, cloud by day pillar by night, were not magic tricks! Every miracle had a purpose. (Wait, purpose! Where’d we hear that before?) All this to say that the Bible is a thinking persons book. To be meditated upon. And for some reason that wasn’t a popular concept. Being saved and eternally safe is the grandest of biblical truths. Working out our salvation requires information. God has not changed. No shadow of turning. Reliable! The fig tree was cursed because it bore no figs. A pastors job is to give Jesus figs to pluck from when He needs to. With all the things that pastor is into there’s one thing he won’t abandon. Belief in the power of Gods Word. I need that.

Is theology about The Only wise God, or the study of different gods to chose, follow andpropagate? Is there such an institute whereby The Only wise God is the main premise of learning? Does one ethos of Biblical thought and the Gospel truth supercede that of another ethnicity?

How did he just leave the book of Daniel and change the whole subject when the week before he was suppose to be bringing the conclusion of Daniel but he never did. Plus in the first part he was suppose to be speaking about America then he never speaks about America. Which really surprised me.
