I adore this - and perfectly timed. I just found my childhood Spotbot... turning on, but making all kinds of ungodly noises. And now my electronics/mechanics/electronics/engineering/dog-obsessed six--year-old is super keen to join me in opening it up and fixing it. Now we have something of a guide from somebody that knows what they're doing! THANK YOU from both of us!

Hi Randi. I'm sure you might have mentioned this in one of your previous videos but can you refresh my memory on your thoughts of whether or not to lubricate the plastic gears? I'm guessing no need to since it's not a heavy load with the friction but if you do, what type do you prefer (silicon, PTFE, graphite, etc). Great video. Thanks!

Normally I leave it dry, especially a Tomy toy that's made good. Sometimes I use lithium grease on my own stuff though.
