Love my Silkies. Their cut little fuzzy butts, their blue earrings, the way they're so sweet natured. The only ones I ever had trouble with was a couple of roosters, but now have a wonderful Silkie rooster.

Oh my goodness!! Seeing that baby pop out from under Mama hen to see us brought tears to my eyes. It is going to take some serious restraint on my part to not hatch some eggs this spring if I have a broody. I wonder if the fact that she stays in broody mode and not switching to mama mode has something to do with the fact that they are not silky chicks.
