From Brunnen to Niederbauen-Chulm・Penguin Marsch 2021 🇨🇭

Penguin Marsch 2021. Wonderful Saturday trip with friends, by kayaks from Brunnen to Beckenreid (9.3 km) and from there by foot to Niederbauen-Chulm (14.3 km, 1660 meters elevation gain).

Thanks a lot for your comment 😀👍🏻 I burned quite a few hours on that map view... I tried many different things, including animating the line over the image in the video editor... There is a very nice application, Relive, which does really great videos from the GPX tracks and friend of mine used it to create initial animations, but I really wanted to try to make it by myself :)) The app: www.relive.cc/?hl=en

Every year my friends pick one segment on the lake to kayak across and one mountain to walk up. Year before we did a trip from Gersau to Brunnen and up to Stoos... Hi Urška, sorry for so late response... After a vacation I went for a business trip (after 2.5 years travelling again), so I had very little time for KZbin unfortunately... But planning to catch up on your videos! And yes, I recorded hopefully enough material for one video from Madeira and already started to work on it... It was super windy, so it was hard to fly there, but it's an amazing island...

Thanks so much for watching, my friend! 😀 This is a yearly adventure trip, we organize with my friends... Starting in the early morning with kayaking, following by the hike up to the mountain nearby the lake. In 2022 we did it again, but I do not have the video yet... 😀

Thanks a lot for your kind words! 🤩 The map at the end took me a while to figure out... I tried many different ways... Google Earth tours, static image with animated lines in video editor, but at the end I found out about Google Earth Studio which allows you to do smooth animations of Earth imagery and also load up the data overlays... earth.google.com/studio/

Děkuji moc, Petře. Jj, 🍺 na konci cesty chutná nejlépe. Vedle té naší cesty vedla na vrchol Neiderbauen-Chulm také ferrata, nebo jak je značí tady, modrá cesta. Ale to by bylo spíše pro Tebe :)) Mne stačilo, že zrovna ten den, co jsme šli nahoru sundali všechen ostnatý plot, který brání krávám 🐮, aby nespadli z těch skal dolů (a turistům také). Ale protože krávy šly průvodem dolů ten den, farmáři před zimou ten plot sundali... To vše asi tak dvacet minut před naší výpravou 😀 A tak jsem to měl jako skvělou průpravu na překonávání strachu z výšek... 😳

Thanks a lot, Moritz 😀👍🏻 It was our first time visit, on the day when cows went down from the hills to the village... The ridge walk above lake Luzern is truly majestic and I can more than recommend it. There is also mountain trail (via ferrata) to the top of this mountain, but it was way beyond my skills 😀⛰

Thank you very much, Kylie! 😀 It was a wonderful trip, I was not kayaking as my part was filming and taking care of logistics... The boat trip was one way, so I needed to bring at least one car on the destination, so we can put all the boats into it and friends could change from swim clothes to hiking ones.
