Wow. What a cool space. Very homely. Love the island, counters, and lighting. And, the dining area feels so inviting. Very well done.

From drab to vibrant. Nicely done.

So glad I watched this for the tip of doubling-up the wood worktop. Thrifty me, I would just have the edges doubled-up. The effect is impressive.

Great inspiration. I'm looking at my kitchen and thinking of updating it.

That island just seems too big to me, especially since it’s near the door, it could have been narrower. Isn’t it only herself & her son living there?

Wow. That kitchen island is bigger than my bed!

I don't like the checker wall it's not trendy at all it makes 50's reall but this is not a problem because it's just about the taste of the person. What I really don't like it's the floor it's totally unfinished. They could use like a nice polished concrete floor if they want to stay in a kind of indrustrial style and it would be so much better

Checker wall of tiles too much for a smaller kitchen like mine. I like the room they have done though.

Perhaps a checker that is more subtle would look better in a small space. Or horizontal stripes if the room needs elongating or vertical stripes to make the room look taller.

Where’s the fridge tho? Didn’t notice it.

Unfortunate unintended irony in the title: homely indeed!

Not an insult in the UK. It means home like, comfortable.
