Nice one Mark. totally agree about the Pro 300, it is a great printer. Have you done a comparison print with the one using the black-and-white mode to see if there is a difference?

A super video Mark again. Can I ask what your views are on compatible inks over Canon brand ink only? Like you I have a Canon Pro 300, and like you, I think it’s the bees knees. As I intend to print loads of my photos from the Pro 300, ink costs are a consideration I’m looking into at the moment. Most of my prints will be A3 or A4, usually full colour. I am presently using all Canon ink, which I am ploughing through at a rate of knots. I would really appreciate your thoughts, and those of other Pro 300 users on this. Thanks Tony

Thanks Anthony. I haven’t been brave enough to go down the non canon inks yet! I’m not sure if it would affect the accuracy when using pro print & layout or not too. I’m at a printing workshop with canon next week so will report back👍🏻

I love your videos mark! Really helps and inspires my photography! I really like photographing sunsets but for some reason the colours aren’t as good as they actually look. What setting would you use for sunsets?

Great video and like you I'm very impressed with the PRO 300. My only comment is that by adjusting the image in the Canon software you will need to remember the adjustment settings should you ever wish to make an identical copy. This may not be an issue but thought I'd mention it. I also use the Canon software to make prints as I find it much more intuitive than PS or LR. Keep up the great videos

Just left the Canon Pro Print workshop Andrew and I can confirm you CAN save your adjusted setting in “save current settings” from the top menu bar. Give it a try and let me know how you get on👍🏻

@@MarkKerton Thanks for getting back. I can see you can save the settings - the only downside to doing it this way is if your adjustments are unique to each image; you then end up with saved setting for image 1, saved setting for image 2 etc. If you're not printing large numbers of images but potentially gets a bit clunky if you have say 50 settings as you have to be organised to match the settings to the file. Good to know the option is available though

Thanks John. I use my local framers who make bespoke frames on request. Speedframe in Lincoln if you are local to me in Lincolnshire👍🏻

I guess in theory it should make a difference. I just prefer to match up the profile to paper and know I’ve done all I can to produce a match👍🏻
