My husband and I used to ride all over trinidad as well...we had a Honda 1000, a Suzuki 750, Yamaha 450 and a Honda 250....we have sold now because our daughter loves bikes as well and we couldn't take her with us. However she now 16 so we're looking to get 3 dirt bikes so we can all go trailing thru trinidad. It's one of our dreams and we've worked hard towards it. Jaw-Dropping Culinary Road Trip! So many amazing sites along the way that display the intricate richness of Trinidadian Culture, and Trinidadian foods, treats, and snacks featured in this video effectively revealed the Sweetness of Trinidad. Thanks for the Geography Lessons; landmarks, the names of Towns, etc., help non-Trinidadians to orient themselves in case they want to visit places like Maracas Bay when they visit our piece of Paradise. As a child, I enjoyed many of the snacks highlighted, but I never knew how they were made. Kudos for sharing what goes into the prepping of the sweets!👍. Great job covering the wide variety of snacks at the Lookout on the way to Maracas Bay; 20 years and still going strong! Well then, since there's nothing left for me to comment on (which is a rarity), let me share a little something on one of the first towns shown in this video; viewers would recall signs showing "TUNAPUNA". TUNAPUNA is a town which got its name from the Original Native Amerindian Peoples, and the name is comprised of TWO WORDS: TONA which means WATER or RIVER, and PONA or PUNA which means ON or UPON. Combined we get - UPON THE WATER OR UPON THE RIVER. It'll take too long to explain why the Amerindians called this place TUNAPUNA, but suffice it to say that when they came from the MAINLAND (Venezuela, South America) they made PHOTO COPIES of the Names of Places, Rivers, Foods, etc., and stuck those CARBON COPY NAMES into many parts and aspects of Trinidad. CAURA, CARONI, TUNAPUNA, MANACAL VALLEY (which means GRU GRU BEF VALLEY because MACAW PARROTS were in abundance there and love GRU GRU BEF, etc.), all came from THE SOUTH AMERICAN MAINLAND by Canoe 🛶, and were plastered upon Trinidad as if to RECREATE THEIR MAINLAND HOMES GEOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING, and Culturally Speaking. I'll be champing at the bit in anticipation of your next video.

Hi Ellis this was a very refreshing video to wake up to on a cold and rainy ☔ Sunday morning. I like how you and Sana would organize and send off your kids to school. Yes you were meant to go pay a light bill but you guys had a change of plans and went off on an adventure. I use to pay penny for Tuolumne sugar cake but I those days they did not bring the Indian sweets out as yet we did get polourie that's was penny for 3 and it was served up on a torn piece of brown bag. Now when we finished eating the polourie we would then chew the brown paper a sick out all the sauce from it...but you had to do that before reaching home eh so we would walk real slow. 🤣🤣😂 you reminded me today of my childhood days 😍😍 the best days. 👌
