compared to other explanations, im finding this actually quite useful. Its not too abstract and gives you good enough basement to both experiment and make actual first game (where you really need help with general process structure) good job

Little correction here. Pre-production is way more than just design docs and stuff, you already are in the engine, and making all the code for your systems, but the graphics and polish is not there yet. The actual content (more levels and stuff) is made in production only, when every mechanics / ability and stuff coming from pre-prod' are available for the content to be made. pre-production is longer for programmers and producers, and production is very long because of the art design process...
