I feel so bad for the people who tuned in late to the war of the world's broadcast, I can't imagine the horror not realising it wasn't real 😭😅

Man, there’s an old B horror movie with Newman from Seinfeld and the old short lady from Poltergeist, it’s called Anguish. Not a great movie by any means, but one particular part scared the 💩 out of me as a teenager. Not a jump scare per se, or nothing gory. I don’t want to give it away if you wish to check it out, but a particular scene where the mother is hypnotizing the son, had me feeling like something was coming from the screen straight at me. And just like the old train movie story, I literally yelled and tried running away from it. No other movie has provoked a reaction from me quite like it. Edit: it’s not Newman from Seinfeld, it’s Michael Lerner. But you really can’t blame me for mixing those two up 😂

The history of the radio show. The War of the Worlds. Gets me every time. I hear about it. Orson Welles! Did a good job. H.G. Wells did . Writing the book. It is a good story. Then when movies were new. People were thinking the tran was coming towards them. True or not. Great marketing tip. To get people to come see it.
