Tribes were isolated by the Christians - the British, not by Hindus. Its really intresting that a lot of ppl are aganist EVM. Its simply not possible that EVM can be blamed. The real issue is the administration who controls these Machines. Even if ballot papers come back, it will be the same administration and corruption will continue. In my opinion, if we have EVM, at least we know our vote is electronically stored. In the whole initial EVM discussion, the interviewee highlights that Maharashtra election was rigged. But points the issue to EVM, the hike in % is also possible if ballot are introduced.

The thing is with EVMs you can shift around precise number of votes, just enough to tilt the win to the desired candidate. With Ballot papers, there can't be precision in manipulation.

@@Subhash_1987 Either which way, The VVPAT is always there to count the precise nos. The only point is everybody can pressurize ro make sure VVPAT count also happens parallaly. The issue is still the administration of counting. Not the technology. In my opinion, EVM vs Ballot papers is not about 'No corruption', It's about How to do it.
