Because one of the main tests to detect anti-Christ spirits or false Christs is asking "Is Jesus God?" Because anyone who says "no" is rejecting the Bible's message (1 John 4:1-6), John chapter 1, etc) which then makes the case that her conversion is false.

The "you" was for 1st century believers awaiting fullfillment of the salvation they had been sealed by the lamb, they were awaiting what was to come shortly, in their generation, many of those standing there would not taste death until they "see" the lord coming.
