@DioChicken It devastated the University of Tampa, whose President was in cahoots with the soon to be Tampa Bay Buccaneers to clear the Tampa market of football competition. Florida Institute of Technology President used the lame excuse of Covid to drop their program and saw enrollment drop as well. Jacksonville University President used a lame excuse to drop their walk on only program. Many of these schools Presidents are just corrupt clowns

I enjoy your videos. May I suggest that you do one about Villanova. More specifically, you should explore their decision NOT to join the "Football Big East" during the 2000s. Had they accepted that invite, there is an strong chance they would be in the ACC by now. They have a brand name, strong football tradition, a major media market, and of course an elite hoops program. Unlike every other "new FBS" school of the past 20 years, they could have walked directly into a Power 6/5/4 situation, skipping the whole "G5 ladder" that everyone else is trying to climb. As they continue to watch their CAA conference mates (and other FCS powers) jump to FBS, you have to wonder if anyone in Philly is second-guessing their decision.

I remember some wars with Middle Tennessee St. It was Boots Donnelly vs. Erk Russell in the 80s. Georgia Southern definitely got the best of MTSU back then.

That 2012 semi final game vs the Bison was one of the most stressful games I watched. They executed that triple option offense beautifully. As well as they had some legit monsters who got our respect. Was sad to see GS jump up but love that the Sun Belt has old FCS powers representing and doing great. 🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸

This school is sort of part of Nebraska’s journey back. Scott Frost was fired after Nebraska lost to Georgia Southern in week 3 of 2022.

They looked really good the first half of last season then wheels fell but if they get the right QB and do something with that defense that just got shredded but did show potential they are definitely a contender ill be at the game Saturday and if they can beat Boise State they can beat any G5 team they play Go Eagles "Blue Tide"

Georgia Southern football went from being a powerhouse 1-AA program to a meandering FBS program because the administrators want nothing to do with Georgia Southern's Erk Russell's Flexbone option offense past. Georgia Southern is just another mediocre program running the everybody runs spread offense. Bouncing from 4,5,7 wins.
