Do you look for contrast (dark and light) in the original shot? For example, the white of the government building lends itself to your method of editing. I guess I am asking, do you envision the subject in black and white before you take the photograph?

Hi there, my camera is set to black and white so I see the shot and all tones and contrasts. Once in computer it is a colour file. Thanks for the interesting comment ☺️
