I really need to make some cabs. I've been heart focused for too long. That's almost at an end for the year though

Hi Stephanie. Hearts are fun, but I find too much of anything gets tiring. But I get bored easily I suppose. Funny, I'm just starting with hearts, but in gemstone faceting. Just starting to learn how to facet them. Finished my first just yesterday.

Hi Jeff, I think the rainbow 🌈 cab turned out the best. Maybe some would look better without decoration 🤷🏻♂️. I purchased some pendant moulds, gonna try frit in some and maybe a sliced pattern bar in another. Cheers

Hi Ed. Have to agree. Some would have been better either with much less deco, or none. In others, I usually just add some small dots. They just push the lines around and give interesting patterns. Oh well. Have to try these things. Good luck with the moulds.

Great video, what a fun project! I do make jewelry with cabochons but usually more plain and fuse decals onto them. Or I try to cut an interesting part of a streaky scrap. I will definitely try this, I love the look. I like the green dot and the rainbow ones the best.

Hi Heather. Nice to know I helped. Have a look at this video on using part sheets. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHyQiaB3h5lroLc That'll give you a huge range of possibilities for interesting cabs.

Thanks for sharing! I’m going to go through my scrap glass and give it a shot. I know how to wire wrap so I’ll use that technique on my cabochons. Keep the videos coming, love them all!

I have some wine bottle stoppers that I'd like to add / glue a unique cabechon. I have round style and then like a diamond shape. Do I cut my strips in the exact diameter or will I need to make a little shorter?
@RocketRoseArt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rose Ann. Do you need an exact diameter, or just something close? If not exact, just cut the length of each piece around the diameter you require and then full fuse long enough so they round. To get closer to your size, tack fuse first, then grind to a round shape the diameter you need, then full fuse to round off. Hope that helps .
