yes, please I would love to watch a video about road maps, like what to learn, why we should learn it, and an example of how it's been used real life, this is my third year and half in tech, I love DevOps and SRE, which I think I have learnt everything needed to get me ground going... and I belive I could learn more based on my Job, I haven't gotten any role yet and I'm currently unemployed too. nice video and good to know how many years it took you to get your first official DevOps role.

I am a test automation engineer. Saw a job stating automation engineer and applied but when i got the full JD i realised it is actually a devops job requiring knwoledge of azure devops, red hat, docker among other things. Now the recruiter isnt technical so she didnt pick that nuance and actually advertised the job in testng and qa section hence i saw it. Now i am thinking if it would be wise go on and do quick tutorials or be honest with myself and tell her before i get embarrassed at interview stage, if it gets there.😢

3:32 community colleges are the best kept secret of North American education. Teachers actually care about their students and students really end up learning.😊

You are so right. I just wish it wasn't so much of a secret, because people could be saving themselves a lot of money as well. I've always been thankful that I did it.

I am a test automation engineer which is a bridge between coding and a little devops, I think transitioning into a devops would be an advantage, but will I be still able to write code as well?
@tech_with_moss Жыл бұрын
It heavily depends on the organization/team that you're joining. If you prioritize continuing to code in a DevOps role I would say always ask the organization/team you are interviewing with what percentage of the role will include writing code.

I am a PHP dev. Plan to learn devops which one you suggest for devops automation between PYTHON vs Go, and Why?
@tech_with_moss Жыл бұрын
Python, because it's more broadly adopted in DevOps teams and has a strong developer community with lots of libraries that support DevOps activities. Golang is great to learn on the side and can help you develop things like Kubernetes operators or contribute to open source DevOps tools like Prometheus

Could you tell please which is best site to find job in IT?
@tech_with_moss Жыл бұрын
It's difficult to make a recommendation, as I'm not familiar with all of the sites. I have always used linkedin for job searches, though. Whether it's the best I'm not sure.

What's programming languages should i learn in my journey to become a DevOps engineer ?
@tech_with_moss Жыл бұрын
You can't go wrong with learning Python. It's very heavily used in the field of DevOps. Knowing Golang is useful as well, but wouldn't be required for most DevOps related roles.

@@tech_with_moss So i should learn only python ?!, What about development role i think that i should learn more programming languages like " html , css , java , C++ " If yes, Should I learn only python for automation ? Or learn All of python ?
