rob when you go for aerials dont always try go for the bullet shot cus sometimes just tapping the ball lightly or just using boost can be more effective. I have learnt this in my experience.

Tyrique Pearman they are not consisent. Sometimes Rob beats jon and sometimes jon beats rob. Jon about 4-5 months ago was waaay better than rob but now they are roughly the same level but i think rob is slightly better. Mike is better than both of them i think.

Played on the team of Jon in ranked a couple days ago (Real one, I check his profile) and was fast to the ball and able to make good hard clears. At the time of this, i was champ and i am now super champ and i still believe the only thing holding him back are the occasional huge misplays he makes (his mechanics and positioning are pretty good)

Sometimes try not to focus mainly on ranking up, try to up your game. At the moment your skill level is superstar and you're kind of forcing your way up into Champion. Much love, this isn't hate, just advice.

Alright, Rob, when you get to Champion, don't feel worried about losing it. Because I know that, before you would to so much aerials' but then once you made it to champion you started staying in net and not flying for a ball like you normally would. DO NOT feel nervous about losing champion rank. You never really went up the wall, and your centres were never good, they were always to the opponent. One more thing, don't go for a ball if you are going to hit it really soft and it is just gonna go straight to the opponent and set them up, you also need to wait for Jon to get back. AND, so much times you were like centre the ball for me, and you waited in the centre. Now, think about it, if Jon doesn't get pass them, then it's gonna be coming to your goal, your gonna have to turn around to get back and Jon won't be back.

Rob, I found your channel about 6 months ago now. I see your battles in RL and I watch you and your "brother" jon battle your way to the top. These episodes should be called The Trials and Tribulations of Woofless and Sandman haha. But listen after seeing you guys battle it out and keep growing, you 2 are the only reason I play ranked matches (keep in mind, I suck, I am gold division). I want to get better one day I want to be a rising star. Like you said its all about proving it to yourself. If I wasn't for you and Jon then I wouldn't keep trying over and over and over again to get to a higher rank. I am not a big gamer whatsoever but you guys make it seem fun and entertaining and I love watching you two and I just keep playing. Last note. I have watched almost every RL video you have posted. Hey comment section, Super champion player here, to all of you who think that these guys are not good, don't deserve their ranks or whatnot, I have an explanation. Not every player is good at everything, being a good mechanical player does not mean you are good and that you will rank up, ranking up off of raw mechanical talent is extremely hard and will only get you so far; the opposite is true as well. Nevertheless, these guys have 3 major strong points that allow them to climb the ladder this high. 1) Their communication is great, they both constantly talk to each other, and stay very on topic. Knowing exactly where your teammate is and what he is thinking is extremely valuable. 2) This goes hand in hand with point 1, but they are extremely calm and positive people, I can honestly say that I admire that about them (coming from a person who honestly doesn't really like their videos, they just fill time really well) no matter how they play or lose, they keep a positive attitude about the next game, and don't get angry at each other. 3) They aren't very good mechanical players, but they are very self aware, and 99% of the time can correctly point out to themselves and each other when they make a mistake, both during and after the match is over. I hope this clears up the misconception that aerials and fancy dribbling are the only indicators of a good player. edit: formatting

To everyone who's wondering about why rob and jon got to that rank with their level when you're only (state your rank here).. First: I remember that jon stated they were playing late night (or more early mourning) and by experience the caliber is somehow lower at that time (EST) compared to the afternoon of week days.. I find that playing on the weekend is a bit easier too. At least that's what my W/L ratio tells me when i play. Second: YOU'RE NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.. stop blaming your tm for every goal and start thinking about when you could have made a difference... like the clear opportunity you had when you juat smashed the ball into the wall and failed to make it leaves your side of the field 10 seconds before your partner whiffed an easy ball and got scored on .. that way you'll be able to improve instead of getting stuck by thinking everything is out of your control.. it's not Third: They are playing together since the beginning so they know how the other play while you mainly solo queue and yeah... even with what I said before, you can get a really shitty teamate 1 time every 7-8 games, who's playing like a pencil case, and thats when he is even playing.. so I admit that it is frustrating to loose when you should have won if you had a teamate as good as you but try to stay calm if you don't want to go on a loosing streak I spended a lot of time playing this game on pc, got to super star div 5, than choked to get gc and now i recently bought an xbox and got back to champ in 2's pretty easily while solo playing.. so at the end of the day, I think your rank is more acurate then you like to think, if you're stuck, you may be better than the average let's say all-star, but still not good enough to be superstar... so just practice. BTW: there's a little leap between superstars and champion division in 2s, as you could see in this video, don't give up you'll get there but it'll take a bit longer and will be a little bit harder to climb than the previous rank.

Because of how MMR works in RL, A high Div 5 superstar will have more MMR than a Div 1 champion. For example, Superstar runs from about 930 to 1020 MMR. Champion is 1000 to 1100. So you could be at 1013 but still be in superstar.

That second game, the map is only octagon with a new skin. If you haven't noticed, octagon disappeared from the rocket labs playlist. Just like neo-tokyo was in rocket labs first, but got a new skin, then disappeared from the playlist. Now you know why, and why it's in ranked.

Only looks that way because of the color palate. Trust me, it's the same map. Go into your game, and look for "Octagon" in the rocket labs playlist. You won't find it, just like you wouldn't find the one that was the basis for Neo-Tokyo (I can't remember the name of it for the life of me).

At 32:50 it makes perfect sense that you went down in 3 losses. The ranks kind of overlap. Thats why it's so difficult when you get div 5 to get to the next rank because your'e not going for div 5 to div 1 but instead div 5 to div 2. Which is a total of 2 divisions up. It puts you at the very bottom of div 2 when u rank up also. So 1 loss is back to div 1 and then depending on who you play and what ranks they are 2 losses can very easily de rank you. The bottom end of div 1 for any rank is equivalent to the upper end of div 5 for the rank below it since they overlap.
