APUS was never a muslim to begin, it's a new trend these days of people to claim they were ex-muslims. It's big industry and gets you rich quick. If you say you're an ex muslim claiming to be oppressed and ostracised by the muslim community, you'll get a lot of backing from fellow non muslims and atheists.
