His Papa is Shalin not Nik. I have two boys from my husband's earlier marriage to an Australian. They call me Rekha. I would never take away or dilute the biological parent's right by calling a second or third step Dad/ Mum as Papa or Mamma. My child calls me Mamma. I love them all equally.

Like it or not there's big cultural difference between them. Husband was born and brought up in foreign countries and she is a typical carefree Punjabi lady. They lived their lives differently for so many years. It's hard to adjust at this age unless one is totally submissive.
