Your face is beautiful, enjoy your short hair while you can. It takes less time to wash and dry, as well as less products. once it get longer it is going to take more time to maintain, wash and dry. everything is a journey, enjoy every step. The grass isn't always greener on the other side .

Thank you for sharing your experience. I feel I am ready for Sisterlocs. I want to get them installed around the beginning of next year. I was on the fence about extensions. I'm nervous about the length of my real hair. But I think I have to push past that because I don't want to deal with the breakage. I will only have to deal with most of my hair being gray and exposed. 🤦‍♀️

Nice video and your hair is beautiful. I’m close to 2 months into my microloc journey and I also started with short hair. I deal with the same issues being used to wearing braids and going to locs that shrink to my head. 😂 I’m loving the process more and more each day!

I put extensions just in my crown on my microlocs 2 weeks ago and I’ve been considering removing them for the same reasons. I don’t think my fine strands are going to survive reties. Even though I’m not comfortable wearing my own right now, you have certainly given me hope to just do what my gut tells me and that it will get better.

Yes! I didn’t think about the amount of hair I was adding when I did them. But I’m actually happy that I took them out because it feels good to embrace the journey. Follow your gut!!!

I’m approaching 6 months into my sisterlock journey and I’ve had to face the same struggle and realization! I’m facing this right now with my extensions. Just got my 1st retie and they are already giving me issues with slippage. I’m really contemplating on just removing them and just rock my short hair and let it be.

My home girl wants to start her with extensions. I explain that going through the shower phase is part of the journey. I started mine with 3 inch hair 2 years later hair past my shoulders compliments galore. I love the fact I can say every strand is mine. I love showing disproving the misconception that we can’t grow our hair. Grow it from scratch and you will love the confidence that’s added to your already being secure.

I have braidlocs month in, install was beautiful she blow dried my hair 🤷🏾‍♀️ which I never do 7yrs natural tired of taking 5 hrs hair days; I ❤ it, on the 4th day I washed my hair SHRINKAGE to da MAX!… I can deal with shrinking tho I neva blow dry, now this the upper~cut my hair is going thew serious changes 🤦🏾‍♀️ today is the 7th and my hair is short in front and look like a bowl cut 🥹 I’m not feeling it at ALL; I go for my 6 wk and definitely need retie 👍🏾 and hopefully she can explain this transformation I’m going through 🤷🏾‍♀️. I’m going to hang in and you too..We got this ☺️ I refuse to use a 🪮 again, I’ll take :45 min wash over 5 hrs any day!😉

It gets better! I’m not gonna lie, after taking out my extensions I wore a wig on my head to work. Eventually I said this isn’t gonna cut it. It was doing more harm then good. It grows so fast. In a few months it will look cuter than it is now!
