love this resort The Grand Massif. Great resort, so pretty, especially when theres snow in all the villages, and Top to bottom, its superb. love Les Carroz. love Flaine. love it all. skied there this yr. when were you there. snow looks good. Simon you mention Gers drag lift at 7:30, but that's NOT the Gers bowl you're in. its the Verat drag lift, near the Grand Vans chair. ! an excellent off piste too. great video. cheers

Thanks for the correction, around the Gers lift... Always good to find other fans of the Grand Massif, I think its an exceptional ski area with lots to offer. Do you have a favourite village?

Fantastic, sure you will love it. Make sure to take the time to explore the 4 villages as well. Some really nice runs around the wider Grand Massif

I’ve skied the Grand Massif for 17 years and I’ve seen great seasons with snow all the way down to Morillon. When the snow reaches the valley the run from the Tete to base is lovely as well as Cascades from Flaine to Sixt, however the red down to Vercland from 1600 when the snow is right is probably my favourite run down to the Giffre . It makes Samoens as a base more accessible and La Reposette restaurant/bar at Vercland is always a superb place for food and drinks after a day on the piste! Love the videos

@@callummj6747 thanks Callum. Awesome that you have been able to ski the Grand Massif for so long… it’s definitely somewhere I’d like to base myself in the future. You are right about snow dependant and in a good season there are some great runs back to Morillon and Vercland. I actually took the Vercland run this winter knowing I’d have to walk out the last few hundred metres 🙈 still it’s a story to tell. Hoping to make it back when the snow is flowing! Have a great season.

@@Simonjburgess it a great resort to base out of, season passes I’ve had usually give you days in neighbouring resorts, usually 25 mins drive to les Gets, 45mins-1hr to Megeve and Chamonix once you’ve tracked the Grand Massif out. Infrastructure has massively improved since the club med money has come into the Samoens side, the old connections from Les Carroz and Morillon were cold, slow and painful especially during peak times! Enjoy the season ahead

i put it to you 2 guys, as a lovely resort i love, theres one obvious faux pas omission in G.M. resort for lifts. To connect Les Carroz to Morillon its a simple lift, say a drag lift, - up from Gron up to Morillon. how simple. cheap too if just a poma/button lift. and provides such easy access between the 2 resorts. ski down to Gron, then if you like, up to Morillon, do some laps, then cat tack down to Gron and down to Les Carroz or back up to Morrillon !! its a simple connector that makes sense. right now, do to that you have to go all the way past Gron, down to Keduse, then up Keduse, then all the way (backwards & away from Morrillon ) down to Les Molliets, then up to Molliets and down track to top of Morillon. when its just there above Gron. thats my 2c. Love this resort. Love Flaine heaps tho. that tree-lined skiing and open bowls up top ! superb

@@jimbosaul3996 Gron is being removed at the end of this season and rebuilt with the terminus at the high point of Molliets, so the connection from Morillon to Les Carroz is now immediate! Your wish has been answered.
