Your story was great. I think we all have similar stories. I’ve been calling these folks animals for years though I never gave much thought into the manifestation into specific animals. I just call them animals. My Buddy calls them runners. He will be on the phone with me snd say uh oh we have a runner. I have a great story that happens at least once a week. I am known in the area as a big collector that doesn’t like a lot of these types of creeps. I am often identified quickly when waiting for a store to open. The doors open, they bolt past pushing and shoving and I just laugh out loud at them yelling to them “not a race, it’s not a race”. They just keep ploughing through all of the secret store shortcuts they have. I just chill & continue to laugh. So what’s so funny? 2 things. They often go right for Supers and miss the real good stuff like premiums, alternate brands etc. the other thing that is really funny is I mentioned I am easily Identifiable. What identifies me? The fact I’m handicapped and can’t walk unassisted without a cane. I’m also short, fat & old. 😂. So who are these clowns racing? It’s really not a race if only 1 person is participating. They are literally scared of a guy that moves as fast as a snail. Just assholes!!!

Listen you know it’s bad when chubby & baldi (2 Saturday morning Target Racers) are both racing me yet chubby (slower of the 2) won’t stop running his mouth while his buddy the much slimmer, faster & agile baldi is running for his life just incase me, the man with the cane, somehow gets bionics and starts running faster than light. I should also mention chubby apparently drives a Frito Lay truck for a living and often shows up on hunts with said corporate vehicle. Such a high level of pathetic behavior over $1.25 supers. It’s all about the supers. That all you hear them ever talk about. Holy crap outside of 4 maybe 5 supers a year they mostly stink.

I have the same mentality as you Phil. Go ahead scalper,, run to the toy aisle! Eventually I'll get what I want even if I have to pay more at a meet or a hobby shop. I'm not gonna get mad. To me they're pathetic. I'm glad that hot wheels didn't re-release the Porsche exactly like the original Boulevard one. I have the original and was worried the new one would reduce the value of the old one. Thankfully they made enough changes so, at least for now, it doesn't seem to be harming the value of the original. If I'm lucky enough to find the new 2-Pack I'll pick it up,, just to say I have them both! Awesome video as usual! Hope to see you at the meet tomorrow!

Nice haul on the 2 packs. I refuse to fight the system anymore and bought a factory sealed case from my special hobby dealer. I got 8 (3 Porsche, 3 Audi, 2 trucks) sets for $120 which is $15 each retail. I now have enough for myself & my collector friends group. We never did see the prior series before with the 2 sets of Nissans.

You’re exactly right on the scalpers, they’re the same ones trying to sell a hot wheels mainline non-th or sth for over 100.00 if not more. Also known as 🤡 I still hunt when I’m in stores but bulk of my collection comes from online retailers and very rarely ebay (if I find one that’s no reserve and I win the auction at a reasonable price)

I'm from Southwestern Ontario and was very lucky to have found the entire Boulevard set including the Integra and 323 before the scalpers. The next day the pegs only had the ford van all over them it's crazy what people are doing for a buck haha

Great video once again. I like your story about the Walmart monkey but he was a bit presumptious when he said you were too late....how did he know what you were looking for? I kinda winder at what stage to prople start physically fighting or lilling one another iver a hot wheels car.....mayne it has happened somewhere aleady? Are the HW zamac cars big over your side of the pond? I have never really bothered but there was a zamac 6 car set...all pick ups. I wasnt going to bother but one of the cars is an Auatin Mini pick-up....couldn't knock that back😉 I dont like the transporters either but the 300zx is cool. It is a shame that they haven't done the early Ferrari 2 car transporter or the Ecurie Ecosse transporter but I suppose theyre a bit niche

Phil - regarding those team transports. The original marketing info & pics indicated 2 of the Supra. Unfortunately that is not the case. The sealed case actually comes with 1 each of the Toyotas and then the Nissan is the unit that is doubled up. I actually had to reach out to the hobby dealer I ordered from who at first said they had no idea what I was speaking about to then just 2 days ago sent out an apology email about the delay in receiving and confirming the mistake with the case count. Original incorrect info came directly from Mattel which was likely purposeful. I assume Nissans on the pegs because they are more available.

Not only do I love the new ultra hot series and think it’s the best release ever but more so than any other previous set this set (every car) is ripe for a wheel swap and tampo removal followed with a light polish. End result is a car far superior to most STH cars. I’ve seen a ton of folks take just a hour and they end up with a crushing version of a custom Super.

Some great finds, the two packs were cool. So a cocky scalper said you were "too late" huh? Shiiit, the joke's on him.
