00:03 Funny how perspectives can differ. You're worried while it took me way too many googles across a period of time until I finally found what I've been looking for. I.e. the make-up term for this is "dewey look." 😅 Not only does human skin naturally have a certain amount of sheen but it also helps convey a sense of shape and structure of the talents face which might otherwise get lost in a 2D image. Plus, it subconsciously communicates to the viewer what 100% white is. This avoids a sense that the image is dim and the screen brightness needs to be turned up which can be an issue especially when mastering for SDR. 🙌🏻

….okay? Not sure if this is a trolling comment or just you telling me something I already know. Either way… thanks? 😅

@@DevinBryantfilms Not at all trolling. Sry, if it came across that way. It just seemed like all makeup in movies used to be 100% matt back when I was looking for non-matte. Add to that the proliferation of variable ND filters at the time which are made by stacking two polarizing filters on top of each other. So depending on their orientation the sheen of any object in your frame might be reduced by a random amount or even completely filtered out. I've always felt that reflectivity is an important part in how you compose the frame and to be honest, I've initially been puzzled by how much photographers talked about polarizing filters. Like, "What's the problem that you're trying to get rid of?" 😅 So, yeah. Just to be clear... I wanted to offer a positive, supportive take on something to a fellow NewTuber (since the algorithm is showing videos with lower views now). As for sweating. Yeah, you never notice how hot it is until you have to record a performance. This is even true for VO. Luckily I could film my own vids under water. While I've yet to use my wet suit, I have to say... The Adriatic being 27ºC/81ºF was pretty close to perfect for extended filming. ☺ Good luck with your creative endeavors. Best. 🙌🏻
