I went from scraps to blocks to a free quilt! And it's and is a beautiful Christmas quilt! I show you how to turn scraps into blocks then blocks into a FREE quilt and I didn't spend a dime. Instead I used scraps to make my blocks and those blocks to make a quilt, for free! And who doesn't want a FREE quilt? Better yet made from free fabric scraps!

My favorite scrappy quilts ever! Funny on the white stars brings forth the secondary pattern and on April's the red stars come forward. Think I will do April's size blocks, but with white and the 9x9 layout. WAY to go ladies.

You two have to be the best together. I so enjoy your quilting blocks. Your styles are so different but I do think you are swinging April over to our Scrappy quilting. I cut my hair today also. I love string piecing; and, I also love paper piecing. I'm as ready for Christmas as I ever will be. I'm staying home where it should be safe. Both quilts are beautiful. I'm in Kentucky, I drive a 24 year old car, and I am 75 years old. If you were down the street from my house, I would love to help you bind. However, I'm planning to visit Janet (at her little quilt shop in the Flea Market) tomorrow. I'm also planning to work on Project Linus small quilt tops this Holiday weekend. You two together are a hoot! I know have ideas for what to do with some ugly holiday fabric I inherited. Little strips here I come will probably do it as a paper piecing with the smaller block size.

I think I heard this first from April, "the smaller you cut it the prettier the fabric becomes." Which I think is very funny becuase she can't tolerate tiny pieces in quilting. I really like the fabric block method, you could starch, really heavy, and it would save so much time as you won't have to tear out papers. The next one I make it will be that way plus, I'll make a template so I can mark that square so I know where to start sewing on my strips. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas

Bah humbug! This pattern will even look great with all of my non Christmas scraps! I've never done paper piecing, but have some outdated medical insurance manuals that'll do the trick for the paper. Now to see of I can just print the lines on those scrap paper pieced and begin using up my Mount Scrapmore! Thank you for the great idea! And MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎉❤
