Just pull out ghost notes. Notice the doc said for this melody it’s gonna me E flat minor I believe he said so just grab the midi fill it up with notes and quantize them in whatever scale you want like example “E flat minor” then go off your imagination and make a melody along those working notes that are highlighted

quick question: besides practice, how did u learn to do all that you do now? would like to know where to start my journey on music production to make beats such as this
@JRent5065 жыл бұрын
I think the biggest thing that helped me learn music production quickly was that I kept a notebook where I would write down anything I learned. I wrote down different chord progressions, music theory, random stuff about FL studio, etc. It's useful to have something like that. If you don't write something useful down, but you slightly remember it, you're going to have to waste time trying to remember where you heard it and tracking it down again. If all your knowledge is stored in a notebook, you'll know exactly where to look and it'll save a ton of time. You don't have to commit everything to memory at that point. Our brains only retain a fraction of what we learn when we're just starting out (i think it's like 20% or something, but don't quote me on that because I don't remember)
@yellowflash51235 жыл бұрын
J. Rent thank you so much, after I saw your vids I starting creating my own beats and trying to learn as much while practicing..I even took a music theory class but there are some things I see you do I’m still trying to understand..I’ll get myself a notebook and get to writing, thank you very much for replying, love your videos!🙏🏼

@JRent5065 жыл бұрын
Lol yeah, I think he just mentions it over and over again as a branding thing. It's his Unique Selling Proposition. In an industry where ghost writers/ghost producers run rampant, it's a refreshing prospect for some people and I can see how it can give the impression that his work is more authentic, since it's all him. But I suppose it can also have the opposite effect and turn people off if it's perceived as bragging
