@@RoxyWillow Hi I've just seen your reply - I haven't reached out to astrology since I came to Christ at the end of November. I believe that there are spirits and gods that we are worshipping when we practise astrology and it ultimately keeps you away from God. There are scriptures in the Bible that revealed this too; Isaiah 47(12-15), you can look up the whole passage, talks about the fall of Babylon and how people are weary from their magic spells and astrological consultations. That they cannot save those they practise with, especially because they cannot even save themselves and they will perish. I was perishing when I was studying astrology, mentally and emotionally. I did not feel contentment in my life so I strived to find it through these tools, but the search through this means is a distraction from the Creator of them. The tricky thing is, astrology is real, but i believe it to be magic, not holy. I hope that makes sense. It's a whole topic lol

@@RoxyWillow Absolutely. I even had a sister from church ask what my star sign was the other day, after telling her I had renounced astrology. There is a strong allure for sure. I actually started a psychology degree to develop my astrological consultations (before I was saved) and I'm finding that the theory of personality / (and) psychoanalysis is a similar spirit. The sin of pride comes to mind, wanting to be our own authority (Satan), alongside idolatry (e.g. personality types)

I had a miraculous encounter with God that led to me being healed of a literal bone protrusion fr my upper wrist, was big and painful. 12 hours earlier I cried out to God to help me heal if it's in his will. @@mela.1060 Meditation is a tool, but it's a little bit dangerous if you don't know how to use it. You clear up your head and start visualizing (visualizing is not a sin since God gave us the gift of visualization so we can create things easier with our hands, it's activated through certain parts of our brain) and through meditation, you can be more mindful etc. Some people use meditation to clear their heads and hear from "spirit guides" which are actually demons. But you could use it to become more mindful and less distracted from your phone. But never to communicate with God unless you're meditating on His word because this could become dangerous and you could start hearing random voices that are actually not from God. In this, you could use discernment. Yoga is a spiritual exercise that is against God. I don't know much about it but I've heard its roots are from Hinduism which is polytheistic. You could use simple stretching instead of Yoga, just to be sure. Crystals are mere objects, they possess no qualities whatsoever. They give you absolutely nothing. People just use them and the enemy, Satan, make them think that they actually do possess qualities and Satan gives them a short-period false healing just to make them think that crystals work. All of this part of his agenda to get you closer to Satan and away from God, and God is our true healer who truly heals our scars forever. About the New Age. DONT BELIEVE ANYTHING that's on it. I used to be part of the New Age and Jesus saved me out if it thankfully. I'm so grateful to Him for it. All the New Age are Satan's agenda to make you think that you don't need God and that you alone can be God. It's the same old lie that he told Eve in the garden of Eden, it's just more twisted and there are more 'interesting' things to it. This feeling that you feel in your heart about the New Age being wrong, I suggest you listen to it. It's the real God telling you very gently that what you're doing is wrong.

I was in the New Age (but not nearly as deep as you ladies), but deeply rooted in Mormonism before Jesus set me free and delivered me from false religion. Wow! I had a false light testimony as well where I thought everyone needed the healing “light”. I thought it came from Jesus. I tried laying hands on my friend and that backfired. Also, I spent 2 years trying to find the actual source of this light. I began thinking it was a Universal light and that I had the power to transmute dark energy. Mia, I was born Jewish. When I was a teenager, I began to study all religions. As I was doing so, I joined and went to many churches. I was like a ship without a rudder. Through the bible, I realized you choose a religion/church based on their doctrine. What do they believe in? In my early twenties I realized that the only religion that followed the bible (Douay Rheims) was the Roman Catholic church. I was baptized into the faith when I was 26 years old. There are 7 sacraments set forth from Jesus Christ in the bible to keep us faithful and strong. One is marriage. Since Jesus gave the keys of his earthly kingdom to St Peter those 7 sacraments have not changed; whereas, all churches that were formed thereafter began to drop those sacraments. The first was Martin Luther who led the protestant reformation. He formed the Lutheranism religion and dropped 2 of the sacraments as he did not believe in them. So began the watering down of the faith and Jesus’s word as each religion formed dropped more sacraments, which were intended to keep us holy. I hope this helps in selecting your church. If you follow man you will always be led astray. Look at what that church believes in, their doctrine, their creed before joining or attending. I hope this helps you!

I would encourage y'all to ask God to receive the authentic anointing of the Holy Spirit that you're entitled to as a believer and not just "John's baptism" as they called it in Acts. My heart goes out to those who seek the manifest presence of God and feel discouraged from doing so. It depends. I'm a new Eastern Orthodox (chrismation was on Lazarus Saturday this year) and a former Lutheran, and could share some tips for reading and praying in general... but I'm not sure whether one wants my tips or not due to my vocation. But beside the Bible, "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis and "The Large Cathechism" by Martin Luther could be excellent start. And in prayer life, we have Lord's Prayer ("Our Father who art in Heaven") and we can also use Psalms as prayers. And if interested, so-called Jesus prayer ("Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner") is short but very beautiful and deep prayer, and it has its roots in the Bible, and therefore it could be recommendable.

Such dreams can remind where one has come from, and that we still need to struggle and strive towards God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Jessica, you should seek deliverance from a spiritual spouse. It’s a demon that can attach through sexual relations and what you just described about being attacked and having sexual dreams sounds very similar. There are several videos about it, Pastor Mike Signorelli has a great one. Just pray for God to open your eyes to it if something is there. I pray you will get full deliverance from this! As a former Lutheran (and actually as a former shaman too), the Eastern Orthodox Church appears to have the fulness of the Spirit, and they/we have preserved both the teachings of the Apostles and the Christian *_phronema_* very well... New age is kinda like JW religion because I was raised that also, got out early but family are sitting it. And I noticed that they believe they are the only one that's right and others are lower vibration as they say bad assocation and they are always working on themselves etc. So so ce that's what we were taught I think maybe were primed for new age really So anyway, just a thought. It's more like, if God wants to give it to you, He will, if He doesn't, He won't. We need to clarify that. I prayed for God to bless my dad as a lawyer, and He didn't do shit. Unfortunately, I got a bad father who was lazy and, sadly, I learned that laziness from him. I'm trying to recover from that, but let's not pretend that it's all gonna be fine for everyone. Thousands of people are going to starve to death, today, but God feeds the birds! God chooses to let people starve to death every day. Let's not pretend God will always provide, otherwise He might save children from starvation. We can't have it both ways, "God always provides" and yet He couldn't provide food for those who starve to death, "Well, God is mysterious." Mostly God doesn't give a shit about feeding people, so He chooses to let them starve. It's God's good pleasure to let them starve.

The Lord feeds all of us too, AGAIN, It’s man! Man made problems. Look at the amount of waste that we produce. It goes right into the trash. There is enough food for everyone. Just by reading you’re post, I can tell you are very lost. Call upon the Lord today, and mean it with all your heart, and he WILL prove himself to you. The best way to get to know and understand our King in Heaven is to read his word. It will change your entire life. God gives us freewill and respects it. A lot of suffering on earth is created by humans and perpetuated by humans because we don't care enough to try to do something about it. There are a lot of things for which we as humans need to take responsibility for. Yes there's random injustices too, and they matter. Jesus experienced his full share of them and promises to pay back in full those who have been wronged in the life to come. One way to help majorly with shutting the door to the demonic spiritual world is to be water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins (not His TITLES of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I've tried it both ways, only the NAME will not work). And also being filled with the biblical baptism of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues as God's Spirit gives the utterance. It's the born again experience in its entirety and the beginning of your Salvation journey. Acts 2:38 forfeits Satan from having legal access to your life. Of course, there's the issue of deep inner healing and deliverance, but Acts 2:38 is when the blood and name of Jesus applied to your life (spirit, soul and body).

Satan plays actually very little role. He's one piece in a puzzle, but not the main reason. The reality of free will (and its misuse) is greater factor - children are allowed to be abused, because we (you and me personally) allow them to be abused, and abusers choose to misuse their free will. God is love, and love does not force anyone or anything. Which does not mean there are no consequences.
