I just got back from seeing the totality here in Ontario Canada and it was so amazing! I'll remember it forever!

Where in Ontario did you see it? It was cloudy in Toronto and Niagara, I had to drive 3 hours to a small town further west to get clear skies, but clouds rolled in again just before totality 😭 Still managed to take few glimpses at it through thin clouds.

When I was a television cameraman, I filmed the solar eclipse over Africa some years back at Mana pools on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. It’s true raw Africa there. When it happened, everything became completely silent. All the animals, birds and insects stopped voicing. It was very strange and awesome.

@@buzz5969 No not at all. There are many animals and insects and even some birds that operate at night, because they’re nocturnal. So there are normally lots of different sounds at night in the bush.

Yep. Heading straight for PEI at 1200mph. It's way easier to see the geographic location if you flip this video "upside down" because the perspective from the space station is "upside down".

Is this the same feed video that when news stations where referencing had in small type in the corner of the screen “Video Composite”? Saw that going around just want to verify if it’s a real time live feed or video composite especially with the so called high tech low quality cameras they seem to use. Was NASA live streaming or was it shown afterwards?

Great job NASA! I'm glad you didn't film in HD with proper framing that would capture the scope of this unique event. Your fuzzy extra-zoomed view is so much better. 🙄

Genuine question here. Taking into consideration that the ISS takes approximately 90 mins to orbit the earth coupled with it's slight deviation with regards to latitude & longitude. Was this a fluke to be in the right time and place of the eclipse?

Why didn't they show the earth as a globe as the eclipse was passing? I'll tell you why, because the earth is flat.😮.....Oh yeah!
@alterecho8261
@alterecho8261 Ай бұрын
Fiction CAN be fun! Alas, back to reality. to fit the entire globe in the frame the space station would have to be situated at about half the distance to the Moon or farther. This would be true even if the Earth was flat.

@@alterecho8261 Still...the mind is a terrible thing to waste. I tell my grandchildren, pay more attention to what is going on around you than what your teachers say. Franklin D. Roosevelt said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Have a good day, thank you for the reply, it shows you thought about it. I won't bother anymore.
@alterecho8261
@alterecho8261 Ай бұрын
@@Roads241 It's no bother. I welcome a healthy discussion, especially when there's a difference of opinion involved, but a lot of people choose instead to close the door on that because whereas we're comfortable with our own point of view it's difficult to incorporate a new perspective if it means accepting something we're unfamiliar with.

To @user-vf8im4em4z Being that my reply was sen-sored again, here’s my reply to you: Of course it won’t make sense to you, until you get out of the box you’re in. By the way, IF the picture of the shadow of the moon shown on the moon was actually real, then the size of the shadow, given the sharpness of its edges and its proportions are a telltale evidence that the moon is a heck of a lot closer to the earth than what you have been told by the “scientists,” the priests of the religion of “science,” have preached to their parishioners, that is, that the moon is “250,000” miles away, which is another lie, but that’s another subject. I can also say that by my own personal analysis that, the moon itself it’s NOT solid as our planet, NOR does reflect the sun rays of our sun if you apply Newton’s Thermodynamics laws, but that won’t make any sense to you as well, until you decide to leave the congregation of the science church.
