From The Archives: 1979 Katmai Film

I worked on this film with my father when I was about 16 years old. I remember flying in on the Goose amphibious aircraft and of filming a Grizzlie from about 15 feet away. We hiked about 25 miles with100 pound packs into the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes to the crater and I took a shower under a glacier. I believe that is me with the longish hair walking up the hill at the end.

Great video1979? Many Call this grizzled hump shoulder teddy ears and Wide Face Grizzled Hair. Brown bears are Black bears. THE GRIZZLY Some 12 Feet Kodiak. Great Video

Why was this ever replaced?
