Really need to switch up you aeration depth so it doesn't cause layering in the rootzone. I usually vertidrain/ deep tine aeration twice to 3 times per year along with hydroject during the hot summer months. I've even experienced with spike aeration on the greens in recent years, heals quick and punches around 8 inches deep. I'm just focusing on compaction and going into the rootzone at different depths. A4 on most of the greens, two have a mix of G's because of shade on the greens. Been looking into pure distinction as a alternative since I've heard such good things about it. Verticut every two weeks during the growing season and lightly topdress to help control thatch and keep green speeds up

At Pebble we punch with 5/8" tines two times per year and 1/4" tines four times per year. 5/8" has a recovery time of two weeks and 1/4" one week.

Wish you could teach our green staff how to do it, they core the greens , don’t sand it and leave it for the frost to get in, numptys 😖😢🤷

What is the sand particles sizes for aeration process?? Because you shouldn’t use too fine

Do you fill the holes 100% full?
@MATTFL380 Жыл бұрын
What is your main target in hollow coring? Why not scarify and solid tine? Less invasive and you’re not removing soil that is full of the active bacteria that helps suppress disease pathogens? Also why apply a granular after all of the dressing? When you’ve got holes open from tining it is better to apply the feed before you dress. This is all my own opinion, I just wanted to know why you did it this way. I might be able to switch up what I do to our greens to how you do it just need to hear your opinion on it. 👍
