@jcmusix1 appreciate the kind words, and looking forward to Orlando! It will be a bit tight getting there right after these Europe concerts but as long as there are no crazy storms I should make it 😄 Do say hi!

@@openlandmusic You're fishing. You know the whole thing is good, but I particularly liked the transition that follows here up to roughly 5:11.

@@TheSoteriologist not fishing at all actually, what I have learned from hundreds of concerts in hundreds of different places is that to assume I have any clue at all about how people are experiencing the music is completely foolish. It's always amazing to learn how different people hear/experience/cognize a piece of music because the range of ways of perceiving the same piece of music seems to be virtually endless. Of course anything I put out is something that I feel is good and I firmly stand behind it regardless of what anyone thinks, but it's also mind-expanding for me to glean any insights into how others' relate to and experience a given song...so thanks for sharing! I used to think that when listening to a piece of music we all basically were hearing the same thing and the differentiation was just in how much or little we each like it. After years of talking to different people after concerts I've come to understand that, metaphorically speaking, what one person might perceive as the color red, someone else may perceive as a dishwasher from Neptune...it's that all over the map, or even more. But I still think it's cool that despite that, it's still possible to have a room full of people all mostly enjoying and getting something out of a live performance, or a group of people spread out over the world all enjoying the same track, each in their own wildly different ways.

@@openlandmusic Haha, yes. Well, I don't think its as extreme as dishwashers from Neptune unless the listener be on 300 + ug. Likely it's more like the signature fits his mood or personality type. As for myself in this case, that slapping the guitar to produce the testosterone driveness or sense of "traveling under time pressure" here reminded me of my teenage years when Level 42 became big and this thumb slapping the bass line was a new idea. Then there is the sense of relaxation or spaciousness at that time stamp and also, for a moment, at 3:16. To me it feels a little like a deliverance from the paranoia into a sense of ecstatic flight instead of running.
