I took a good friend of mine...he was a Muslim friend to their Concert. And it was that day he changed his life,, i remember that night he grabbed my hand and he said to me with tears in his eyes he said "bro i want to follow Jesus"...Now i see.. it was later on that night, he told me why..,it was because he saw and felt the hand of our Lord Jesus come on him...Thank you Hillsongs

I am from Uganda, Africa, Your songs have given us hope when we were hopeless, when we were deep in addiction, your songs made us believe that there's a God who still loves us and can deliver us. When we were discouraged, we found courage in your songs. I remember when I was at University in a foreign muslim country I was so lonely and tired of life, but whenever I played your songs on my laptop. I would go in worship with tears rolling down my face. Your song that I listened to most was 'Depths'. It taught me to stay in God's word and wait even in the midst of confusion. We are all the body of Christ, a time was there when you encouraged us through your ministry, it's now our time also to encourage you. It's amazing that, through your ministry, you helped us out of this very same situation you are in. Personally, I pray for you always. Melvin Masiga Hello. Did not expect to find a fellow Ugandan in the comments section. Being in a foreign land is no where near easy. Even after years, it’s hard to completely feel at home. I am currently in one myself and we occasionally play our favorite pieces from Hillsong. I actually used to hear a lot of their music growing up and it still has the same effect you are describing. It gives you momentary release from all your distress and afterwards, renewed hope and trust in God. I didn’t know who Marty was or what his problem was so I searched it up. From time to time, I have my own scruples about Christianity, specifically my Catholic faith, however, at the end I somehow come back to God. I join you in hoping that Marty finds his way back too. Cause God really lives and he works miracles. I hope you are much better wherever you are, Melvin, considering the experience you had.

Okay, one more thing...Jesus said to take his yoke upon you. The world would use you up and the church will too not maliciously but because there is so much work to be done for the kingdom. Make sure that things people are asking of you are from Jesus. Ask Him, "Is this your yoke, Lord? Is this your calling for me?" I'm looking at this young man and he is exhausted, among other things. Make sure you are working with Him and not just working for Him. There is nothing that will exhaust you more in ministry than that but make sure you are in the ministry you are appointed to be in. Yes, I'm looking at this young man and he is talented. Yes, this song is reaching so many souls...but still this might not be the exact calling God has chosen for him and the pressure of trying to conform to the yoke of other's expectations may have caused him much anguish. Lord, lead Him back but with a clean slate that you can write on. Give him new wisdom straight from your throne. Don't let the enemy sidetrack him from his place in your plan and most of all let him find his rest in you. Jesus, in your Holy Name I pray. Amen.

So many years ago I decided to stop congregating and leave the church where I grew up (at 16 years old), a place that I felt like home even when I didn't fit so well. I was so confused, questioner and needy from help at the moment, but sadly the only thing I received were criticism and pointer fingers from "Christians". I haven't regret not a single day, well I have always missed the praises, but I discovered that God is not a church, an event, believers, songs, etc... He is beyond that, He's everything that we do in our lives but believers tend to be caught by the religiosity.
