Jalas, Jalas... A MAN'S MAN... you are the kind of man everyone and everybody needs or HAS to have as a friend, brother, father or son. My attachment to Kenya goes way back to the 70s as a Ugandan toddler in exile with my family. Lived allover from South Band C, Langatta, Westlands, Buru Buru phase 2(When Buru phase 2 had just finished being constructed and was beautiful) where exiles from UG lived, up to Dagorretti. I watched Kenyatta's body laying in state in 1978 as a 6 year old on tv. I attended Kilimani Academy from Standard One to Standard 3 after which my family returned to UG after Amin was toppled, and I recall the American lady, Mrs. Motion being the school principal during that time. Drove wire cars made by my Luo friend(abiro gonya matek, or something like that was his favorite line), Sandro Munali and Shekhar Mehta were the best Safari rally drivers at that time... list is endless. Then we left for UG in 1980. Came back to Kenya to attend Maharishi School in Limuru (Former Grange school) during the early 90s when Jimmy Gathu was the coolest dj on TV. F2 to JKs in Westlands were the places to chill plus Taurus club. Then I came to America in 1994. I have followed your career for a while now (from comedian, radio with JK to now) and pray that I will one day meet you (God willing) in person to shoot the breeze coz your story is fascinating to the brim and it couldn't have happened to a better person but you Jalongo! You are an inspiration to so many with a down to earth attitude and a heart of GOLD. Always treating your guests with the utmost respect and patience. Unselfish, cool and very humorous. Time and space cut me short with all I have to say. Cheers and God bless man!
