From The Vault: Loring Air Force Base

This episode features several programs on Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. First, a 2006 in-depth segment on the history and subsequent closure of the base. Then we go back to 1976 for a visit to the sentry dog training facility. We skip ahead to 2014 for a visit back to the sentry dog facility to see how a local Eagle Scout is rehabilitating the long forgotten dog cemetery. We end with the bonus item "Assignment In Aroostook". A 1959 orientation film shown to service members and their families who had been assigned to Loring. It features many images of the area, trains and the base.
