Sure Pushkar Pandey, Sangakkara averaged 63 in both Australia and New Zealand, 63 in Asia etc etc. The other three greats had most of their overseas runs with their best away averages etc in certain countries, but not as good in others. However, Sanga did this everywhere, more all-round than any other player.

Yasitha Shehan Don’t think I could even agree with that. They were a lot more equal in terms of ICC tournament record but still not much of a difference. Remember Sangakkara’s 2007 final innings against Australia? He was the only one fighting to give his team a chance after a completely magnificent innings from Gilchrist demoralised the SL team. Do you remember Sanga’s contribution in winning the 2014 T20 World Cup where he top scored in the final to win India? Or how about the record setting 4 consecutive centuries in the 2015 World Cup to give his side a one last chance at the ultimate trophy in Cricket? Mahela also did frequently rise up to the occasion in big tournaments as he did in the 2011 World Cup final but I would still say they had a comparable record in ICC tournament matches. Besides, how can you not bring up averages when comparing 2 batsmen who played in the same era at similar batting positions for the same team. A career average is long term metric showing how well a batsman has performed throughout his career. It is probably the most accurate metric to measure the skill of a player. Sangakkara, with his superior average, was clearly way more consistent in his career than Mahela in both formats. A few good knocks from Mahela in important matches doesn’t change much. Sangakkara is almost undoubtedly Sri Lanka’s best ever batsman.

I remember this match. This is the commonwealth series 2012. Sanga and dilshan could record centuries in their odi careers from this match. Dilshan scored 160* runs from this match. It's the his highest score that he scored in odi's. Finally sri lanka could score 320 runs for 50 overs. After the sri lanka innings, Most of fans thought sri lanka would give a big fight for india but sri lanka had to lost against india as unlucky in that moment. India finished the game in just 37 overs. India beat sri lanka by 7 wickets but we shouldnt froget the innings that sanga and dilshan built for sri lanka. They both could give their the contribution for the team as much as. Actually they both are unfrogetable legends in the sri lankan cricket history and whole world.
