In 2008, my wife (who was then my girlfriend) and I saved up some money and traveled to the Netherlands for a few weeks. Patrick Jumpen was EVERYWHERE; his songs were playing constantly. We both fell in love with his music and jumping. Sad to see him going off the deep end.

@@peglegai a combination of mental predisposition, a quick rise to life in the fast lane while the mind couldn't handle it, and ofc the drugs. He was only 15 years old at that time, and even when he was patrick jumpen as we knew him, he already seemed like he was mentally drifting away from reality. And also I think he had a really bad experience at one point because he has many sympthoms of a traumatized person. No one will ever know for sure.

I walked with him and was hammered by him dayly and i thought i deseverve it but unknowingly i devellopped the stockholm syndrome and fell by his doctrine but something stopped me from completely trusting on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I failed to understand that people can be saved just by trusting the death burial and resurection from the son of God and understand and believe it is been done for you too.so there is why i fell because i thought it is all about me or patrick. But knowing now it is by grace we are saved but we need to surrender to it and realize what Jesus did on the cross for all humanoty and trust upon it. I come back to this video every now and then, always eerie to see, it's worse than schizophrenia. However a lot of people only see a part of the story... Yes maybe for us 'fans' he was jumpstyle and jumpstyle was him. But in his world, jumpstyle was a phase which was the beginning of the end, for his mental health. I think he already had a predisposition for it, and the drugs and lifestyle that came with his fame, probably triggered it to the point of no return. Truth is nobody know what really happened to him, that made him find comfort in god and this fantasy world that he created. Only his friends and relatives got to see the day-to-day change.

Let me tell you a story. I was curious about the stuff he talks about so I ended up sending him a friend request on Facebook a couple of years ago. He accepted and we started talking, video calling and stuff. We got along pretty well until he began to brainwash me with this “sect” thing (it has nothing to do with religion as we intend it). He basically claims to have gained certain superpowers (related to psychic and stuff), possesses imaginary weapons/items such as blessed swords, and that he is the boss/emperor/whatever of a realm in another dimension. He got allies and enemies, both of which happen to be politicians who truly exist (ex. Trump). The hierarchy of this realm is so complicated that I couldn’t keep up with it as he explained it to me. He dressed up like he was some lieutenant and, in general, was always wearing military clothes (especially a hat). Long story short, he eventually asked me to tag my chest with his name and send him a pic of the final result. When I refused to (I had zero intention of showing him my boobs), he started calling me names, called me a traitor, accused me of behaving like a whore and even practiced an exorcism of his on me cause he believed I was possessed by the evil spirit of one of his female enemies. Whatever he said to me was so misogynistic; he believes that women have to be the servants of their men and to obey and procreate and, overall, considers us inferior. Needless to say I blocked him on everywhere cause things were getting out of hands and being literally insulted every week was lowering my self-esteem quite a lot - even tho I didn’t believe his claims/stories not even once. This lad needs some serious help cause he’s clearly not right in the head, I mean, he’s mentally unstable and literally tries to brainwash whoever approaches him. This saddens me cause he was the nicest person at the beginning, before getting into this realm thing that only exists in his contorted mind. I truly hope he’ll get some medical help cause he does need it.

I mean, where's the surprise... Most religious people tend to see gender's division just like that, and in this specific case (of somebody who was deeply troubled and gave himself into religion), of course he will be an extremely schizo version of this - because he found peace in the bible, and the bible is very clear about their treatment to women. I kinda feel sad for the guy but at the same time I don't think he's a victim. Obviously he was already prone to some sort of mental illness, and he just fired it up with the drugs and all, now he's living completely away from reality.

LOL, whenever somebody brings "money" into the conversation, I feel I need to remind you that nobody really ever made much (if any) money in the hard dance music scene, other than the big hardstyle headliners ofc. But as a jumpstyle producer he only really released a handful tracks and made some shows over a few years, in 2006-7 when it didn't really move much money anyway. Now I'm not underestimating his legacy (which is huge, not only in Jump but also brought a lot of people into hardstyle), but just stating that money probably didn't have much to do with whatever happened to him. Now drugs - yes absolutely. Maybe he didn't really take them a lot but he already had a predisposition to space out from reality, and the drugs only triggered it. Still feel kinda sad for him.

Ik vind dit een hele respectvolle documentaire en geeft een kijkje in het verwaarlozing van Patrick's mentale gezondheid, Erg triest wat er van hem terecht is gekomen. Hij upload nu continu videos over hoe die van Mars afkomstig is en hoe die een buitenaards leger heeft, echt helemaal van het padje af. Dion (die gozer die altijd met hem mee Jumpten) heeft een Tiktok account en hij praat ook nauwelijks over Patrick, en als iemand een vraag stelt over Patrick gaat Dion er meestal niet diep op in, het is alsof Dion hem liever vergeet. Echt een heel sneu verhaal.

Ik heb Dion benadert, die wilde niet meewerken. Jeroen(de producer) heb ik destijds via facebook even gesproken, die had ook weinig interessen. Wie Patrick toen was is hij nu niet meer. Misschien maak je dat zelf ook mee met een vriend(in) die je al een paar jaar niet gezien hebt en ook kompleet is verandert, dan voelt het niet meer als dezelfde persoon. Zo denk ik dat Dion en Jeroen erover denken, en dan begrijp ik de afstand. Vergeet niet dat Patrick heus mensen bereikt, het is alleen een heel andere (en iets kleinere) doelgroep als Jumpstyle. Religie is een soort van taboe in Jumpstyle(zie reacties deze video), dus moest hij het een of het ander kiezen. Religie is meer fundementeel van aard, Patrick is ambitieus en kiest wat voor hem het belangerijkste is geweest.

I'll do this in English. I thinkt something horrible happened to him. Knowing the house scene (Dark/Terror/Rotterdam where I come from VS Gay/Love/Amsterdam which I've seen from a far) sadly of which he got support from the latter, Flamman & Abraxas Patrick Jumpen was only a 15 year old boy at the time. While F&A are house legends! - from the times of club RoXy and club IT. It was al very coke and pill fueled and no one really knew what went on in those darkrooms. But they're gay, that's what they're coming from, what they like. I think personal boundaries are easily crossed on substances like LSD or MDMA. Imagine he was just 15 yrs old at the time. Getting dropped into the hands of 2 old skool gay ravers. The lifestyle of fame, stress/pressure, drugs. I mean everyone who was there back in the day knows what I mean. So-Ho in London (Abraxas is from UK) club Roxy/IT/Amnesia. To me the video of the 'The Secret' reveals they clearly influenced him A LOT!! I think this poor kid was just used as a face and for his dancemoves. My impression is something really traumatizing happened to him, he was either raped on or has been fed/has taken so much acid or molly that it probably scarred him for life. I do not advocate it! You can take drugs. Keep your personal boundaries, and your dignity! Be careful of who you use drugs with. If someone is a bit preppy or pushy on getting you to try something don't do it! Especially in fishy situations (guy/girl or straight/gay) And to everyone who came from my style/surroundings even the ''the dark abyss'' can seem alluring, but be careful. Your mind can take only so much. I am thankful that I got out on time. And to everyone making fun of him. Imagine he was your kid or your brother! Wouldn't you wanna go out after the people wo did this to him? He had a whole team of 'professionals' around him back then. The only thing they did was kick him to the curb for life. Bizarre Theorie (Puur fictie): De clip van the Secret gaat over het Geheim dat Patrick met zich meedraagt. Abraxas (aka "Fierce Ruling Diva) ls 3e persoon de verteller en zweeft boven de verhaallijn. Hij speelt een rol in de clip, maar zijn uitspraken laten dingen doorschemeren over de "de waarheid".) Het begint met: "I" present you, blabla, the jumpmaster" (Hier spreekt Abraxas stiekem als zijn eigen persoon. Hij heeft van Patrick Jumpen > The Jumpmaster gemaakt, "het wereldwijde fenomeen") De wc scene 2:02 tot 2:11. (Waarom schrikt hij, wijst de avances van het "man-wijf" af? let op de focus op de kruisstreek.) Wil dit iets zeggen? De tekst die volgt "I had to contain myself." hoort bij de scene. (Hier spreekt FRD in een rol als presentator de gedachtes van het manwijf in. Hij wilde hem, maar hield zich in. In werkelijk is FRD geen "persona in een clip" en kon hij zich dus niet inhouden. Een knipoog naar de waarheid? Precies dit stukje van de lyrics en de Titel "The secret", zijn onverklaarbaar/houden geen verband met de rest van het lied. Bijzonder... betekent dit misschien iets? De rest van de teksten zijn ' te verklaren als ' platitudes, maar hebben een dubbele bodem!! Patrick speelt 2 persona in de clip: 1.Het rode jackie/de wc-scene is zn gay persona, met alles derop en deraan, gedrag uiterlijk, zeer vrouwelijk. Persona 2 draagt een zwarte polo en chased achter de chickies, dit is zijn hetero persona. Ze vloeien in elkaar over, hmm. Een ogenschijnlijk low budget clip, maar achter de schermen zit er veel meer achter. In de grenzeloze moraal-loze gay community wordt het als een open-secret gezien en als kunst-uiting. Let op de opdruk van het shirt van de verteller "What the bleep do we know." Dit is een New age cult achtige beweging. Dit is een verwijs naar de basis van de levensfilosofie van FRD. Een soort Aleister Crowley achtige: "Do what thou wilt." Wat zit hier allemaal achter? Hij is in een circuit beland, er is mogelijk belastend (video)materaal van hoe hij in ze reet gepopt wordt. Inderdaad veel drugs. Crystal Meth, bekend van de gay-house-scene en eindeloze grenzeloze neukfestijnen (docu's). Het vervaagt ook morele grenzen! Participeren was onderdeel van het "contract." voor de faam. De vraag is of hij het zich überhaupt nog herinnert. Het lijkt er op dat zijn psyche in een zeer ver gevorderd stadium is. Hij gebruikt coping mechanismen, om een traumatische ervaring te onderdrukken. Mocht het waar zijn. Is er maar 1 man die er iets mee kan doen en dat is Patrick zelf. Betwijfel of hij nog tot juridische stappen in staat is. De arme knul kan amper een coherente zin formuleren. Abraxas & Flamman hoeven zich nergens druk om te maken. En Patrick die heeft zijn levensdoel gevonden, in zijn belevingswereld is hij helemaal gelukkig. Niks aan doen... ik vind het wel een mooi einde hebben eigenlijk. Het had veel slechter af kunnen lopen. Bekijk het van die kant. - Fin. Bizar verhaal wel als je het zo leest he :P /end totaal onfundeerd verhaal, 0,0 bewijs voor. Volledig uit mijn duim gezogen. Het kan natuurlijk ook hij te jong tot een te grote hoogte is gestegen, en niet kon omgaan met de leegte waarin hij verkeerde toen zijn korte fase van "Roem" voorbij was. Hij voelde zich het middelpunt van de wereld, naderhand keek niemand naar hem om. Hij kon basale vragen als "Welke studie ga ik nu volgen" niet verwerken. Nu is hij Profeet en wederom het middelpunt van de wereld ;) Dan zou het smaad & laster zijn om de bovenstaande bizarre theorie als waarheid te verkondigen. edit:framing
