Chronicle of how a quiet day out for a walk turns into a real beating (at least for me). Starting from the beautiful town of Torla, along the Turieto path, we arrived early at Casa Oliván, deciding to go up a section towards the Faja Racón. Once at the top I decide to continue a little further, until I reach the beginning of the Faja de las Flores, using the Salarons or Carriata pegs. Here I decide to continue through Salarons, a place that I keep wonderful memories of when you could spend the night in the area, tempting me with the idea of making one of the most accessible peaks from this area (Pizo Escuzana, Gabietos or Taillón). Upon reaching the Salarons plains, the Gabietos appear imposing among the clouds, having serious doubts about being able to reach the top with the time available, I continue while the weather allows me and I make one last effort...
An ascent that is very worthwhile, although to shorten the hardness it is better to start from Pradera de Ordesa.
