Quality mate! I have a VERY similiar story, in August 2020 I summited the Matterhorn on a Friday, stayed in the hornlihutte as a treat on Friday night, then on Saturday I experienced the Ultraks weekend in Zermatt and let me tell you, I was extremely jealous! (I was already a runner) but I hadn't ran any ultras or even trail races at this point, just the occasional flat trail back in England! So of course I entered the Mountain Ultraks in 2021 (you may remember me chatting to you before about it), i have done it again in 2023 and this year also, I have unfinished business there!

@rafaelhidalgo me too! I went in 2023 whilst going through the period of meeting a new girlfriend, I had bad sleep in 2023 so not the best race, she came with me this year and helped me, it was special! What will be even more special is we are both entered into the Mountain race next year! She only started running in May this! Keep up the good work mate 💪🏻

Always appreciate your valuable contributions. I really like your way of story telling. Did my first Ultra (SwissAlps100 50k) this year which was an epic experience for me. How much or what exactly... did you do on the treadmill. Sprints, long walks, slow runs?

@@hinrichfuchs good point I should maybe have elaborated on this despite it being very simple. It was like an hour a day 4xweek, constant speed at around 6:00/km
