Are there new episodes? These episodes were shot in 2008, but the video is labeled like it was just a couple weeks ago. It's 2022 now, and the episodes are 14 years old. What are Sophie Allsopp and Anthony Sayers doing now???

3:20:48 Dear smokers, I had to help my friend clean her newly painted rental apartment once. The owner was a heavy smoker who worked from home and spent mostof his time gaming. He died at 42 and my friend moved in shortly after that. (we did not know at the time, his father told the story weeks later). The rooms looked quite clean at first glance. Key word:first. There was a yellow slime covering everything, from furniture to walls, to the interior of cabinets and wardrobes to the tiles in the bathroom to the insides of appliances. His mark in his home was a slimy film of smoky yellow residue everywhere. It took four people five days of scrubbing/steaming/sanitizing this place to the bone to make it somewhat clean. We were mourning in terror the condition of his lungs.

EP 1: I saw how shocked the couple was when she told them the house was probably not selling because of the master bedroom being in the basement. As a parent myself…I SECOND THAT!!!! There’s no way I’m going to be sleep in the basement while my young kids are on a floor by themselves that has all the entry points. I would automatically eliminate this house just because of the layout.

The house looked gorgeous when it was redone, and I'm not surprised it sold fast. But I suspect that the first thing the new owner will want to do is find someplace to squeeze in at least a half-bath on the first floor. The basement bathroom was pretty and neat to begin with, and very convenient to the family room, but having to go downstairs every time you need it would get old fast. But with the depth of that backyard, even a full extension on the back of the house is not out of the question, and that's what I'd have been thinking when I made my offer!

I've lived in Sydney and Melbourne Australia and central England - (none of these places experience extreme winters) and yet - often traffic jams on freeways would result from rain or .....'leaves on the rail tracks' would bring the rail system to a halt!!!😳😳😳 I often used to wonder how Scandinavian countries or Canada coped in bad weather... 😂😂

I can understand the sentiment of wanting to move out of a house that you had once shared with a loved one who has passed but nowadays the inventory is so low in Toronto. The competition is so high for the buyers. Many people bidding on each house. My neighbours sold and it took them 2 years to get another house and that was their 2nd home. They had equity therefore were in a competitive position.

5:56:15 This house will have a better flow if the entrance changes. Close up the outside landing, move the door outwards with new steps. That will expand the inside entrance hall. Close up the kitchen original entrance. This way you have a small entryway leading to the sitting room instead of the awkward mess of the kitchen being front and center.

I especially like that "desk/home office area-well done! I always find it most interesting when comparing how homes in the UK are remodeled and styled for selling. The UK style is totally different than how this is done in the US. In the US the realtors try to make the home look like the latest styles all white walls, with white matching drapes or blonds, and very highly styled. NO wood trim or kitchen cupboards etc.

Uh… buyers should always want their own home inspection regardless of what the sellers offer. And it’s important to find someone reputable who is detailed. My home passed a sellers inspection. We got a random guy to inspect thinking just anyone would be good to get the house. He only found two issues on the old home we bought. He didn’t even question the sagging upstairs or the staircase that moved as you walked up it. Turns out the stairs to the upstairs were held up with cable ties and they cut the support beams to the upstairs to Run AC Duct work. Leaking back hallway was actually an upstairs bathroom issue. My house was being held together with bubblegum. Their was no proper electrical panel. There were sub panels on wet damp brick. Like… it should have never passed. We have since fixed everything properly as we find things. I love my home. But it’s been a bit of a money pit. Be OK with fixing other peoples handiwork even after an inspection.

I am shocked at the number of women who are selling their house because they are getting married. Why? Use that house as a rental. Why doesn't HE sell his house instead? I'd be willing to bet a thousand bucks the money from the sale is paying off the new husband's house. I hope they realize that if they get divorced, they've lost all their investment if their name is not also on the deed to that house. NOT WISE. If a man is looking at you as a nurse or a purse, that's not the kind of man that is going to take care of YOU at all. The woman on the motorcycle and the woman from Romania, I bet they regret those sales. If the person you are marrying is getting money from you, that's a gold digger, whether they are male or female. I love this show, I just can't get over how many people there are who are just giving away their $$ for "love".

Totally agree. The louvered closet doors were overdone---not to mention the southwestern desert theme---but the original woodwork throughout the house was beautiful. I find it hard to understand why people seem to have such a problem with de-cluttering their houses when they're looking to sell. They are going to have to pack up everything to make the move out of the house anyway, so you'd think they would just look at it as getting ready to leave. Especially the ones who've already purchased another home - and if you don't have access to your new home yet put your excess stuff in storage for a few weeks.

On the odd house on a Victorian street - l would have put a widow's walk in the roof with perhaps a fake dormer window in top - then shutters on front windows - perhaps some gingerbread - all white.
