If you have the Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving, they have several salsa recipes that we have enjoyed. Zesty and Fiesta are a few of our favorites.

Amazing 😊. You make cowboy sauce do you have a recepie?
@FaithfulFarmstead2 ай бұрын
It’s a pretty simple recipe. It’s called cowboy candy and I’m sure if you googled it you could find a printable version. This is the recipe I’ve been using for years and we love it!! 1" fresh Jalepenos sliced thin 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar 2 cups sugar 2 TBL Mustard Seed 1/4 tsp. Tumeric 1/4 tsp. Celery Seed 1 tablespoon Garlic powder 1/4 tsp. Cayenne pepper or 1/2 fresh pepper diced fine * Mix Everything except jalapeños and bring to boil. * Reduce liquid at a simmer for 5 minutes * Add Jalepenos to the syrup and simmer 5 more minutes. *Pack into sterilized canning jars * process in a water bath for 15 minutes.

We like to make okra chips in the dehydrator. I slice about 1/4 inch thick, and on the diagonal. Toss with some cajun seasoning, or adobo, or whatever you like, and dehydrate single layer. This kids will probably love them, and you have a healthy chip.

That sounds DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing 😍

@@FaithfulFarmstead I have some in the dehydrator now. You mentioned dipping them fresh in ranch dressing, so I used ranch dressing mix today. Had a sneak a few minutes ago. Yummy!
