Henkka is such a nice and down-to-earth person. Funnily enough, I did some research and he actually studied in the same faculty and almost the same subject that I'm studying currently! Now I'm even more proud of my University haha

Such an interesting interview and good questions. He looks like he really thinks things trough and is realistic about how things are going these days. Definitely my favorite bandmember of Children of Bodom when it comes to interviews and how he acts. Thinks he is a really nice guy in real life. Not a poser, not a fake and not over the top trying to be interesting. It's refreshing.

Interesting to listen this interview and the question about "plan b" especially now that Henkka, Janne and Jaska have decided to take that road. Great interview all in all!

+John Wins Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting, John. It was a really good talk with Henkka. He definitely seems to have a very sane attitude towards the biz and a good grasp of how it works in this day and age. Rock on mate 🤘😎 Sebi

Love the band. Doesn't seem like he's upset too much about the music industry. Maybe it's because he looks like a really calm person :D I like that he finds positive things about it. Like recording an album in a cheaper way and so on...

Hey Evaldas! I agree, Henkka seemed absolutely calm about the state of the biz and on top of things. I guess, partly because it’s just his nature and partly because of his professionalism. Really cool :) Cheers! /Sebi

Yes, but he got used to it. So that's an old issue for him. And in this interview he seems a bit tired. Like he hasn't slept in a years :)

How amazing is this. I feel that i have the chance to show my music to the world and it can reach anyone if i do it well. Does anyone, or there is something in this channel that i can watch to know about the bureaucracy and bussiness behind music?

Great questions, i have some Top questions too when i meet this band, my top 1 Metal band ever.. its so confusing how metal sales are down bellow the ground but yet the pop,rap and that genre kind of music sells millions of copies!!?? the question is do they REALLY sell millions of copies like do all those people have CD players? Hmm..everything is online now and digital yet the music industry in just beyond mysteries.

Very good points. Somehow, the entire calculation of sales, plays and whatnot does not really make sense, at least to me. And the same applies to the monetization of digital plays. Touring and selling merch seems to be the main revenue channel for bands such as CoB. I started buying more exclusive box sets again, just because I do see value in physical copies. But, it may be a generation thing, too 😄 / Sebi

Thank you, i agree with you on physical copies are more valuable indeed. imagine COB ft Dj Khalid in some fashion or another how much sales they would have?!? i don't see why not. the effort that is put in making of metal music like cob is not as easy as them electronic beats and all that jazz.. its rather harder prestigious and effort yet it doesn't pay off, or only during hundreds of live concerts which is SO tiring.

Excuse me, "Something Wild", "Hatebreeder" and even "Follow the Reaper" were just hobby times??? WTF??? And... Fuck, I'm a teacher of history and geography. And I don't like it 😅 It's not for rock&metal guys, all this... schooling. Remember the immortal "Another Brick In the Wall"? That'it! Remember what do you feel when you hear that and imagine yourself in the other side. You wouldn't like it... :P New ways of the music industry: it's important. But a real musician is still a musician)) Years after this interview Henkka still plays, even not in COB. That heets my heart))))
