This new Ford Transit will feel very spacious after years of squeezing yourselves into the Sprinter. The hacks you came up with, to deal with the space limitations of the Pleasure Way, were amazing. You made it work, even for a tall couple, but it must have been difficult, especially for John. Now, no more cramp camping. And no more DEF fluid! The Pleasure Way has served you well, but now its time for some elbow room. Congratulations! Humble Road really delivered. The quality build will prove to be worth the wait. Good luck on your new adventures! I am so happy for you folks.

Please inspire us with your new toilet, everyone's favorite topic! It looks like you found something that looks attractive and is perhaps a separating unit? Many units on the market of this sort, are cheap-looking, expensive in price, or over-complicated, and quite frankly I have a tough time paying $600 for a glorified bucket such as the Trelino. Working on a new build, looking for separating, few times use/dispose of asap, not necessarily a composting toilet (as that is actually a process which I don't want to take place in my van)... Thanks !!

Van tour! Can’t wait to see the new tour. As you know, I drive a Storyteller Beast Mode, based on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis. I love the driving ergonomics and the arrangement of controls on the steering wheel and around the cockpit. I got the opportunity to drive a Transit for several days and it was a real eye opener. It really made me appreciate the thought that went into the MB cockpit. I would love to hear your experience as you “transit” from the Mercedes to the Ford. 😎
@FromShetoMeАй бұрын
So far so good. We noticed the transit was quieter. Will have to get the suspension upgrade before we can do a proper comparison.
@ccartee1Ай бұрын
@@FromShetoMe Excellent! The thing that drove me nuts on the Transit were the layouts of the steering controls and the lack of paddle shifting on the steering wheel. I felt that if I was "white knuckling it" down a hill and wanted some extra engine braking, I preferred having the paddle shifter. In the Transit, I had to take my hand of the wheel and "paddle shift" on the shifter. The other thing that drove me nuts was the volume on the radio. Every vehicle since Fred Flintsone's "Flintmobile" has volume as up/down. The volume controls on the Transit steering wheel are "left/right". Anyway, those are just a couple of my personal "nits". There's more to ergonomics that steering wheel. I'm sure you're appreciating the extra cabin height. And waiting to hear about driving position.
@FromShetoMeАй бұрын
The 4WD MB must be different from the 2WD because ours didn’t have that style paddle shifting.

Noticed that the van is licensed in Pennington County, SD. Please be aware of the law in the State for SD licensed vehicles, that if you are driving on I-90 going past Wall, you have to stop and buy Wall Drug donuts. I would hate for you to get into trouble for not doing so. Seriously, the new van looks great. Will be watching for the more detailed report.
