Hey, this is your friendly Adelaide asbestos inspector. Very good spotting the asbestos flue, very impressive. The kitchen black and white tiles should be tested for asbestos also. Not sure what the Victorian standards are for lead paint, but I would be taking lead samples from multiple walls to make sure also.

The frayed wires on the outside are usually the old disconnected wires. The bathroom sink could be cast iron so it should look rusty if it is. Good videos. Keep it up.

Great video mate. There's needs to be an actual penalty for the real estates that sign a declaration that properties meet the minimum standards. A real monetary or onto a register so they risk losing their licence if they don't start doing their job. If the real estate refused to put the property on the market and manage it, the landlord would have to rectify or sell the property and the NEW owner could fix it up

I always check if there's openable and lockable windows. Previous lived on the first floor without lockable windows, and on the second floor without openable windows. What do you do if there's a fire?

March this year. I had the old ceramic fuse clip switchboard and it was replaced with a compliant switchboard in Feb.

I've been thinking that for a while. They treat it like it's customers being Karen's, but it is literally people having the life put it in danger because they're too cheap and lazy to fix serious issues. I don't know what would truly force their hand other than criminal penalties

Quick tip if you have mould wipe it with vinegar it should nock it back for a bit bleach dose not work

Everything else is atrocious but growing up I had a cast iron sink that looked like that underneath. I think that's just what cast iron looks like in sinks since it's unfinished but I might be wrong.

Because Real Estate agents run 15 minute property inspections that are attended by 50 plus people. There is not enough time to check everything, nor delay when applying as someone else invariably will and people need "somewhere" to live.
