Wanted to say that I’ve done a few runs with straight up cotton rope that Amazon sells for auto watering and I divide one rope into four ways and stick them evenly throughout the pot and it keeps the whole pot from top to bottom and one end of the rope goes into a 1 gallon resort that usually lasts a week or two works well
@TheyarealreadyhereАй бұрын
If 1 gallon of water feeds a plant for a week or 2 something is wrong lol
@brownguy9920Ай бұрын
I use Coco Loco exclusively. I love it. That being said you can't find it for $20 a bag. It's double that. Locally I can get it cheaper then Amazon but it's still 37 38 bucks a bag. It ain't cheap. Running 25 gallon pots is going to get expensive real quick. You would absolutely have to reuse it.

I learned about bottom watering from traditional ag nurseries. It’s basically the broke man’s auto pot lol the only problem I have is if you let the top go dry dry in peat, it takes way longer to get full saturation then if you do it when it’s dry but still has some moisture. At least in my peat based mix.

i've been using home made AC Inf type set up for over 10 yrs. I drape strips of an old grow bag over a plant riser in a large dish pan and it works great wicking up into the 7g fabric bags. The fabric strips work better than the strings.

My old brick basement draws the moisture out in winter. Plus all the white wash. I went to 6 gallon totes for photos so not seeing deficiencies in flower. The 3 gallon work for auto indoors. But veg photos in 3 gallon totes about 8 inch deep. Many so I can train for seedling to tie them to the totes. Less stem length but is really thick. But use vermiculite for extra silica. I would like adjustable plant stands for when they go into flower. To get plants canopy just above the larf level of my lights. Plus can lower the plants if too much stretch.

Wick system is the best cheap lazy way to water. I let my totes catch about 5/8 inch of water. But use fast draining soil. Working with plants that like bacterial dominated soil. Bacteria stink. My cheese wasn't making the stink foot smell. Until I went to a bacterial dominated soil. Trying a guerrilla x stink foot cheese. Kick back from seeds I gave away. My wife grows Strawberry daiquiri and jilly bean in the orchard with fungal dominated soil. R.I.P. Subcool. She like sweeter stuff. And the basswood blooms every other year add a note to it. We even tried to pheno hunt that taste. I thought we fubared and mislabeled seeds. Found the dead cedar in my one grow spot makes a peppery taste. I was expanding that grow spot and found the roots while digging. Wanted to repeat taste that I got out of clone #4. And make sure it wasn't a one off mutation. Like pink grapefruit. I use to use wick system to grow many clones in 3d to make same yield as big plant in less veg time with vertical lights. You have 2 types of chlorophyll which like blue and red, but flavnoids have their own spectrums. Like old school sour d. that needs more uv and like an orange yellowish spectrum for the flavnoids. It was made and breed for old school lights or outdoor.

1.5” rockwool plugs dripped in a plastic tray dropped in the coco when first set of jagged leaves pop. .5ec a+b @ 5.9, turn on the autopot for 30 mins turn it off for a few days turn it on. 1 solo cup of water in a ring 4” away from the stem. Bushes with minimal effort. Earthboxes with organic inputs is pretty fire for autos as well. Been buttchuggin for about 5 years now. Edit: Jeremy and! Hussey are both awesome. I've switched from hand watering to xl autopots, it's helped drastically however I made a grow tray using auto pot bits so it's like a bigger version of the tray 2 grow they do. Boy did I screw up, turns out adding canna boost and pk booster together and leaving it for a week with no cover from the led did not do me justice, I opened up to a literal swamp! The only thing missing was shrek. When I tell you it was nothing but thick green sludge with a bad fungus gnat infestation I mean it 😂 definitely won't make that mistake again😅 The interesting thing is most of the plants got pH lockout (I assume) and very nearly died, theyre not going to be good anyway, tiny buds and next to nothing about them but 2 plants have thrived in it! Big thick resinous buds, it's really strange
@GregDunne-zf2epАй бұрын
Back in the 80s I had a book and in it said certain strains where stronger if they grew for 6 to 8 months plants of the same strain only grown for 4 months weren't as strong as the older plants Idea's have changed over the years but back then most where sativa so it might of just been them because of the longer flower time

You can add 10-15% more perlite to your favorite soils if you want to experiment with a wick system. It is a great system if you have a busy schedule and a small number of plants. You can get something like a grow box for pretty cheap these days and run a completely organic water-only system.

coco does wick very well and can stay wet constantly, the large volumes probably help maintain some things, but organics are not the most ideal in coco. can definitely be done but harder to get the most out of it. if watering is a struggle for you, his style might be better

Hello. My question is will the terpene profile or anything else change when growing a strain that originated from cold climate say a high of 72 degrees f and you grow it in 83 degrees? I’ve been growing in a warm climate of 83f and I’m thinking about growing these landraces in there naturally colder climates.
Ok let me ask on this platform!!! Is the stash blend something like cultured biologix ez-tea’s I’m asking because they were my go to but they are going out of business & I need to find a new microbes blend???? So some help please would be greatly appreciated!!!
Was listening on iHeartRadio and the dude mumbled so fast his name but I heard abolished the farm/farmer looked on KZbin and there's nothing looked up butt chugging, wish I didn't know about that now, he's only on Instagram which I'm banned from, zero KZbin presence it seems? From listening so far he overcomplicates the wicking process. Clarify if he has no KZbin Was intrigued and would like to see the visuals of what he's doing which seems like adding more to an already simple process

There are plenty of studies and data that show the viroid (not a virus, and not like the Rona propaganda). These brands that test for it do not create it and have been testing other viruses and viroids so I’m not sure why there is so much tinfoil energy when it comes to HLVD. Now me personally, I do think it was introduced to herb by man intentionally for a select few to hold the genetics that are clean. But that’s my tinfoil thoughts. Happy growing
