I have successfully connected my Fronius primo 5 but I had troubles for 3 days for connecting method bcs some of the steps not clearly highlighted. before you choose your home wifi connection in that screen select middle wlan connection and it will pop up available wifi connections then choose your home wifi and remember to press set on the same screen then connect button in the same screen . while connection establishing remember to change your tablet wifi from Fronius primo to your home wifi connection I highlighted what I missed in previous attempts only rest is as per this video feel free to any troubles connecting this

Do you have wifi signal on your phone when you are next to the inverter? Maybe you need to install a wifi extender?

Nice video. I've just been connected recently by Energex and have successfully installed app, got it running..... Just a question about the PV Power setting during the setup. You state in the video that you enter 5000 for the 5kW system. I have a Fronius Primo 5kW inverter and 22 x 270W panels, totaling 5,940W. What figure should I enter in the PV system setup, 5000 or 5940? Thanks Scott

What do you mean by may take 'a while' to load the network connection? 5 min, 10 min or longer? Thanks

Hi Ian, From our experience it could take up to 5 minutes. However, if you have a slow interconnection we recommend you allow up to 10 minutes. Kind regards, Infinite Energy

Infinite Energy - Solar Power Perth Thanks. I gave up in the end. Well over even 10 minutes. It was still trying after the inverter timed out on the wifi activation. Trouble is the inverter wifi seems to have a very short range. But I would have thought that the Telstra wifi router would have connected. Don’t really understand what’s happening. My internet signal is very weak, usually only one bar on my phone. Maybe that’s the problem.

Ryan Lund your inverter has an IP address 192.168.250.181 restart the wireless on the inverter and then type that ip into your browser after you have attached to the inverters wifi. You should be able to configure it there. If not call for support.

mine was set up but when the NBN was set up it lost connection. I have found my IP address on the PC but how can I just redo the wifi address without going through all the other bits. I am over 70 so last time someone else did it for me.

The below link will take you to our support page where we have a list of inverters. infiniteenergy.supporthero.io/container/show/setting-up-and-understanding-online-wifi-monitoring Simply select your inverter brand and it will come up with a list of instructions for a variety of topics. Select the topic that says "Re-connecting your (inverter brand) after NBN" and this will take you to the instructions. Re-connecting is quite simple, however it may be useful to have someone assist you if you can. If you have any further issues, please don't hesitate to contact us. You can do so on our Support Page. I have a blackberry and cannot use the app, i have to connect using my desktop. I Switched routers now i don't know how to connect the inverter to the new router...how do i do it WITHOUT a smart phone / Tablet , because I don't have one.
