Front ball joint replacement via the control arm (2001-2012 Ford Escape)

Replacing a front ball joint on a 2001 Ford Escape. Ball joint replacement requires pressing out the old one from the control arm...and pressing in a new one. If no press is available, the alternative is to replace the control arm assembly, which includes a pre-installed ball joint. The video shows the driver's side, but the process is the same for the passenger's side. *Torque values for the rear mounting bolt:
2001 & 2002 - 148 ft/lbs
2003 - 133 ft/lbs
2004 to 2006 - 148 ft/lbs
2007 to 2012 - 110 ft/lbs
