hammering is a total wrong practice , and using a torque wrench for tightening the allen bolt and the fork end nut is very much essential .

Good one , informative. On my classic it needs to be done now. The mechanic is confident in the job. However, he should not hammer that top nut. He should hold the piston in a bench vise put aluminum pads on the vise jaws so that the piston body is not damaged. Then remove the nut, it can be easily loosened without hammering. By the way , what was the labour charges you paid?

Would recommend to upgrade your suspension oil since RE once r 2W type m guessing and that is just a bit thicker than water.... Try going for 10W or 15W as per ur needs.... Ull be satisfied by the damping.

A higher weight oil will make the suspension stiffer. Not recommended but its your choice.

Hey, I'm a regular subscriber as I've the same bike and color as you, it's been 6 months that I own my chestnut. My problem is that the paint isn't of great quality, it looks amazing but while removing the seat or the front fender, any force and paint chips off. That you have owned the bike for 3 years now, how has the paint lustre lasted? Thanks

Just wash and wax the bike regularly. Waxing prevents fading and cracking and chipping off because of sunlight. For the rest touchup or repainting are the only options. Paint luster is still good on my bike because of that. Sorry for the late reply.

The nylon spacer above the spring was misplaced upright down by the mech.(narrower side comes down) Did you have any issues after riding in that condition?? To know the exact things the mech did, kindly dont fast forward the video.

Use genuine RE shock oil as it's the correct oil for Indian road conditions. I used this bottle shown in the video because I was not able to find the RE shock oil at that time. Use 200 ML per shock absorber. Hope this helps. Please LIKE, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE.

Its totally wrong to hammering top of the nut, threads might slip. Mechanic Jugaadu hai! Spanner laga ke kholne ki position pe spanner pe hammering karna chahiye tha. Main ne bhi 11,000 kilometer pe sir oil change karwaya tha. Aur Gaurau ji, Aap aur aap ki bike, dono hi hum ko Azeez hain, Koi achcha mechanic select karo bhai. Thanks

Replace fork oil in every 12000 km. Use royal Enfield genuine fork oil

I used Motul heavy 20w and suspension feels stiffer than usual is it good thing to change to heavy fork oil , I wanted to change damping so I decided to go with 20w due to my riding conditions ,what's your opinion with it

Heavy oil will make it stiffer. I prefer RE oil only as it's for all terrain riding.
