Just installed the Aeria on my bike- purely for the reason that it allows you to change the extension/pad set-up without having to consider where the BTA bottle will have to go.

Hey Michael, Thanks for your videos! Can I ask you for the dimensions of the bottle? I've tried the FC35 on my wife's Canyon Speedmax (XS) but it is quite big and the front leaves no room for the hands on the aero bars. I am considering getting the HSF 800+ as it seems to be more adaptable plus the offset of the mounting should help. If you could confirm this information that would be much appreciated. Cheers from NZ.

Hi Jose, is the bike a Speedmax CF or CF SLX? Probably best to email me at setup@custombikefit.com and I can help you

I just came across your channel. Very informative. I wanted to ask if you have experience with Vision Metreon TFA? How does that compare to the Profile Design Aerie? Which hydration system works better when comparing the two in terms of being more more aero and convenient to use for 70.3 events?
@custombikefit4663 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, personally I've no experience with the Vision Metron TFA (I've not yet handled a set) but they look very similar to the Profile Design Aeria Ultimate in terms of functionality and adjustability and I'd say they are equally as good

@@custombikefit466 Thanks. Will you have any long-term review of the Aerie Hydration system?

With the PD Aeria hydration system which looks sleeker than a torpedo style, what’s your opinion on crosswinds with that? You have more side exposure which to me may cause more front end twitchiness. Thoughts or opinions?
@custombikefit4664 жыл бұрын
I have lots of clients using the HSF/Aeria and so far zero negative feedback on bike handling in crosswinds.

Hi! Great video, thanks! I've read negative reviews about the PD Aeria that on bumpy roads the system mount breaks off from the stem - have you experienced such a thing yourself or have you heard of anyone having this issue?

I hit a pothole square-on at 25mph yesterday with this bottle, and it stayed in place nicely! It does leak a bit on bumpy descents through the refill hole, but no more than other bottles I've used with a refill cap.

What do you recommend for my Trek Speed Concept that doesn’t have 2 separate bars, but 1 that forks out into 2?
@custombikefit4662 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the length or those extensions (there are 2 or 3 options) and whether you have the bracket/bridge that allows for a bottle cage to be mounted between them. By all means email some close up pics of the bars, with measurements preferably, to setup@custombikefit.com and I'll let you know my thoughts

With the HSF/Aero HC 800+ (first one) are you easily able to take the reservoir off/on to clean? For example if you wan to use gatorade in it?

Yes Craig, it's easy to remove the reservoir which is constructed in 2 halves. Easy to separate, clean and put pack together

Do you know if it is possible to use the HSF 800+ with a gorilla cage on trek speedconcept ? The cage will replace the bento box. Thanks !
@custombikefit4663 жыл бұрын
I think it would likely fit Christophe but I also think it would be quite hard to access the straw and drink. I have a Speed Concept frameset, can try this out if you'd like? Shoot me an email at setup@custombikefit.com as a reminder

@@custombikefit466 Thanks for your quick answer ! You are probably right ... Just put the HSF 800+ in the gorilla cage BTA seems to be the best solution !

Anyone tried PF Aerodrink 880? Similar to Aeria but mounts to bars, and less expensive.

They're a good system Lewis, the only thing lacking is a magnet to hold the straw down out of the wind and away from the riders face. I'm working on a modification

Hi, both the HSF premium set as well as the other system come with the same PD cage and computer mount. It’s described to have a removable computer mount. As you might be aware, Garmin and Wahoo sockets differ from few degrees for locking the computer in. Is it possible to alter the position to attach a Wahoo w/o adapter?
@custombikefit4663 жыл бұрын
The position is fixed out front but you can mount any head unit of your choosing
@t.r.iggler3 жыл бұрын
@@custombikefit466 Hey - i'm afraid you misunderstood my question. It was for the HSF800+ system. There the lock is placed on top of the cage. Question is if its possible to remove that and reattach in a different position to fit a Wahoo bike computer. Thanks!
